I love this backpack. Initially I'd used another, somewhat smaller Tamrac backpack with my mirrorless system. But that one was rear entry and I couldn't get used to it. This one is very secure, even working around New York City. The case itself, padding and zippers all feel substantial and I expect it to last for years like my first backpack (a Tamrac roller which was great for the camcorder system but more than was needed for lighter gear). While the retail price makes this a good value, the AS11 happened to come up on sale, icing on the cake.

I'm very happy with the purchase of this Tamrac Anvil 11 backpack. It is really well made and has plenty of room for my Nikon mirrorless system (camera body, five lenses, FTZ converter, and other accessories). I've owned two other Tamrac bags and still use them; they have lasted a long time without any issues. This bag is slightly smaller than my previous Tamrac backpack from 14 years ago, but it still has just as much room.

I purchased an Anvil Slim 11 backpack this year and it was great. Good organization, the best zippers/ pulls, plenty of room for my Sony A7s plus four lenses and supplemental gear. Only problem is, the plastic ripped after a couple of months. Contact Tamrac who said they'd been using more environmentally friendly plastic and had issues with it being fragile. They asked for photos of the damage, and as soon as they went out they quickly sent a replacement which has been perfect. Gotta love Tamrac as they stand by their products.


I also have a lighter weight Nagano for when I'm going out with only the camera and one lens and want to keep it light. But the Anvil is great, plenty of protection for your gear.

My father is a photographer and has gone to New York many times. After searching through tons of bags. He found this one. His old bag lasted a while but it was time for a new one. Finally, for his birthday, I bought him this one. It's amazing! He loves it! It fits his gear better than his old one did and is so much better on his back! :)

Great backpack. My Nikon D810 fits in there with the Nikkor 400mm lens. Room left for two smaller lenses, a flash, and filters. And a laptop.

So far, so good. Plenty of space for what I use,( Canon 5d m3, m4, 28-70, 70-200, memory cards, charger, etc). I took some of the straps off in order to assure I would have room to place under plane seat. It does what it is supposed to do. I still have a smaller tamrac backpack that has lasted 6 years and still going, just too small for my needs. I am counting on this backpack to last just as well!

Perfect size for Nikon D750 W 3 lenses, flash etc. Build quality has always been a strong point with Tamrac and still using bags from 25 years ago. And of course great deals and Service from B&H.

As a professional photographer who shoots motorsports, I could use a rolling bag, but don't. I prefer to travel with carry-on, so couldn't do two rolling bags (and a service animal). This bag is perfect for me, packing two bodies, two lenses and all the extraneous items along with my 13 MacBook Pro. And it's smaller than my previous bag, a big win for a small person.

I bought this in order to replace my 20 years old Lowpro backpack. This is really good size for mirrorless and regular size camera system. I have Canon 1DX ii, which is really tight in terms of the thickness. I finally managed to zip it off, but not in a gentle way. I think, if you are looking for a backpack for a pro camera, you need go one size bigger. Other than that, it's a perfect backpack.

I have a couple of the CaseLogic backpacks, which I love and appreciate their lifetime warranty. This Tamrac is real nice with the broad wasteband and comfortable straps. The compartments are deep enough for multiple layers. I also like the bottom outside pocket for small items like smartphone and the 2 smaller ones above it. The clear zip pockets on the interior hold a lot.
