A: This extension has a set of contacts on it for the DJI OSMO. The USB ports are not obstructed or used.

Clean and dry the extension rod carefully if it is exposed to water or foreign elements as this may affect product performance.

A: If connecting your phone, you can connect wirelessly by adding the wireless module or you will connect the the osmo pocket directly to your smartphone via lightning to USB-C cable. When using this extension rod, you will not have access to use a microphone input.

A: Not familiar with Steadicam. I used this piece to find a simple, low-cost way to get rods beneath a DSLR on a tripod, so I could attach accessories. It worked perfectly for that.
