The flip open feature grants easy access to the LCD's touch screen for changing settings on the fly, and the Z-Finder will hold its position when flipped open and then flipped back down into the closed and locked position when touchscreen adjustments are complete.

The Z-Finder can be used independently of any camera cage by securely mounting to the camera strap hook, which is built into the camera's body, providing a solid mounting point.
