I ordered this to protect a Canon 17-40 f/4 L lens. It works perfect, caps on, hood mounted in reverse slides right in front eliment first and the draw string pulls and keeps the opening closed to about a 1/2 diameter over the rear cap, just what I as looking for. Quality is first cabin, stitch is perfect. I'm thinking of ordering one to replace the stock Canon pouch that came with my Canon 70-300 L lens just because I believe the LensCoat pouch is better protection. 5

I bought this pouch to store a medium size lens when I switched to my longer lens. The medium size is actually quite large compared to what you get from an OEM. Otherwise it's soft inside and out and closes tightly to protect your gear - great product. 5

I bought this to keep my lenses from touching each other in my camera bag. Nikon 28-300 - fits - just barely. It will go over the top of the rear lens cap but leaves some of the back of the cap exposed. You can't draw the strings completely. Nikon 24-70 - yes, but the lens is longer so the sides and the back of the rear lens cap will protrude a little. It is wide enough to accomodate the lens with the lens hood on in the reverse position. Nikon 14-24 - almost like the 28-300 but is a little taller. It fits width wise fine, but the rear face and a few millimeters of the sides of the rear lens cap are slighlty exposed. It works perfectly fine for my needs, but if you need it to cover one of the above lenses entirely you need to get a longer one. 5
