The IPAV HDMI Encoder with H.265/H.264 from DVDO is designed to be used with a separately available AV over IP decoder to input HDMI video at resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080p and output over IP. This encoder features an HDMI input port, an RJ45 LAN port for IP output and LAN management, and it can embed audio via the analog 3-pin terminal block input. It supports the high-efficiency H.265 and H.264 video codecs.

It supports IR and RS-232 control pass-through, independent RS-232 control, and a signal extension up to 328'. This encoder can be powered using the included single external power supply, or it can be powered using PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) from a separately available decoder. The unit can be configured and added to a wider video matrix using the VDirector app for iPad.

A: At this time 720p is not listed as supported with the XF705.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re trying to connect your newer mac laptop (USB-C plug) to a monitor, you’ll need an adapter if it didn’t come with your monitor (usually doesn’t). I plug this adapter into my apple computer and the other end to an HDMI cable (not included, should come with your monitor) which connects to my monitor. This is super helpful for work. Works immediately and didn’t have any issues with connection. Works as expected, there were no issues. 5
