Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the difference between this one and the cheaper $65 option?

A: Hi Jared. The MX-LMOUNT holds 2 NPF batteries, and the MX-LM1 only holds 1 NPF. Battery orientation is parallel to the chassis for the MX-LM1, but perpendicular for the MX-LMOUNT.

Q: 2. Does this hirose DC input sled work with the Sound Devices MixPre 10T as far as room for cable is concerned (i.e. without bending it too much)?

A: Unlike the MixPre 3 and 6, the MixPre 10T sports a Hirose 4-Pin DC input connector, so this accessory is not needed for the 10T.

Q: 3. Do you have to use two batteries at once or can you use one? Also, what's the estimated run time with phantom for the smaller (2900mh) and medium (5000mh) Sony NPF batteries? Thanks.

A: You only need one battery. I use two just because it seems a bit less awkward to handle. Two of the smaller batteries will run the recorder and a couple of mics all day long.

Q: 4. what type of batteries are compatible?

A: The Lectrosonics SRBATTSLEDBOTTOM SR Battery Sled is designed for use with L and M type rechargeable batteries to power Lectrosonics SR Receivers.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the new mark II line? Like the MixPre-3ii?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 6. Hi, I was curious what size/capacity of L-mount batteries this sled can accommodate? The photo here looks like it can use the larger/higher capacity batts, but the image of this sled on the Sound Devices site uses the smaller, lower capacity batts. Any observations? Many thanks!

A: It works fine with any capacity battery. Just keep in mind that the larger the capacity and physical size of the battery, the more awkward the MixPre may get on a tabletop or a bag, because the batteries stick out so far from the sides of the unit.

Q: 7. Are we able to use 8 iPower rechargeable lipo batteries with this sled?

A: It is not recommended to use rechargeable lithium batteries with a Mixpre series recorder. Sound Device does recommend using 1.5v non-rechargeable lithium batteries, or higher powered NiMH batteries such as B&H # PAKJ17KHCA4A.

Q: 8. What Hirose to Dtap connector is recommended for this, to connect this directly to a V Mount D Tap?

A: We offer BH #RECAPTAPHIR and if you require right-angle connectors we also offer BH #CAC2537

Q: 9. Does this work with Sound Devices XL-WPH3 45W DC Power Supply? And with Remote Audio Anton Bauer PowerTap to 4-Pin Hirose Male DC Power Cable (14 ) to power MixPre-6 off Anton Bauers? Thx

A: The Hirose DC Input has a voltage range from 10-20v. So do not power from mains IEC it will fry the unit.

Q: 10. Any problem of loose contact pin in this model as official Sound Device product? ( as it seems white labeled Hawkwood SD2, which has some people hase solder burning complaints )

A: I have heard no complaints on the build quality of this sled. Sound Devices makes exceptionally high quality equipment.
