I have a really nice Manfrotto tripod. I've used it with my 4x5 view camera. So, it can handle weight. But for my DSLR and larger lenses in a vertical position, I get lens droop. With this Arca style clamp, and the
3 Legged Thing QR11-LC Universal L-Bracket, that droop is history!

It works as advertised. I bought it to use with both Arca style and Manfrotto plates on a travel tripod. Is it as good as my $700 RRS, maybe not but if you changed the label and paid a lot more I think you would be happy.

I have an Arca-type L bracket on my camera. I have three of these clamps to retrofit two tripods and one fixture. They screw in tightly and have yet to fail. I will keep getting them as needed. Great price point and works.

If you acquired a lot of Manfrotto stuff with PL-200 plates and are switching (or thinking of it) to Arca Swiss style gear but are perhaps reluctant just to toss over all the PL-200s, then this Sunwayfoto Clamp is a very good thing to have, for it lets you use both the PL-200s and the Arcas with the same clamp. At first I thought it wouldn't work with Manfrotto, but then I realized you have to insert the leading edge of the PL-200 into the deep slot right next to the scale and spirit level. Sunwayfoto has come up with a neatly engineered and well manufacture object -- and has done so at a very reasonable price.

Very nicely made, feels like a precision machine. It fits Arca Swiss just fine, so I can swap cameras quickly, and swap from tripod to mono. It doesn't fit the one Manfroto plate I have, but my plate may not be a standard Manfroto.

I've bought many of these for various things that I mount my cameras to. They are well-built and packaged. Good knurling on the knob, very positive lock, metal construction, smooth operation, precise machining. All the hallmarks of good, reliable gear.

Purchased this quick release along with the adapter screw to convert my Manfrotto Befree Advanced tripod to Arca Swiss and use an L bracket and absolutely love it. Good quality construction and it makes switching from landscape to portrait shooting quick and easy without the need to move your tripod and recompose you shot. If your looking into swapping out your Manfrotto quick release to Arca Swiss you won't be disappointed with this product.

I have a number of tripods with Manfrotto RC2 style heads and a mix of cameras, lenses, and accessories with a mix of RC2 clips and Arca L-plates. This clamp makes them all work together.

While the Arca compatibility is obvious, it might not be totally clear how the RC2 plates fit into the MAC-14. I have attached a photo showing how the RC2 fits into a separate groove from the Arca plates. Note that some very old RC2 plates will not fit (see photos).

Like other Sunwayfoto tools I've purchased it offers good performance at a fair price.
