A subset of the Synchron Percussion II collection, Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Bells II Standard Library is a virtual instrument with a library that accurately captures the sound of a set of plate bells and a set of temple bells. The instruments were recorded at Synchron Stage A Vienna with every nuanced detail using seven phase-controlled multimicrophone setups. The included Synchron Player allows you to mix the microphones to create stereo mixes, each with different levels of ambience and stereo panorama.

Synchron Bells II features a set of plate bells available in an unusually broad range of five octaves (C2-C7). They were recorded with up to four dynamic layers and four round-robins for single strokes, played with a bell hammer and a metal mallet—resulting in a very bright sound. There is also a bowed effect articulation.

The temple bells were recorded with up to four dynamic layers and four round-robins. They were hit with soft, hard, and triangle beaters, rubbed with clappers, and bowed.

Q: 4. What mode does it start in when you turn it on?

A: It starts in high mode, then low and lastly strobe. To advance to the next setting. You must turn it off and then back on within about three seconds. Q: 8. Is the separate subwoofer necessary or are the built-in subwoofers good enough for a small (12x12) room?
