It’s actually braided silicone, so is sturdy and should hold up a long time. You can feel the difference with this cable vs others, while just holding it in your hand. It’s also got a magnetic strap with a small stick on metal plate, so you can mount the cable nearly anywhere you want to. This definitely lives up to the Belkin name in terms of quality. I’d definitely recommend it to others. 5

I can use my original one in the house and this one in my truck and I’m in complete shock that this one will get my devices charged completely while the one in the house has a low percentage charged! I love the length of this cord also because if I’m not using it up front then my daughter is using it behind me, while plugged in up front! This is a great length, durable and shockingly fast!
