The Atom EV may also be used with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.0 ports and is preformatted for macOS 10.4 and above. After a simple reformat, it may be used with Windows Vista and later. I do location recording for orchestras with 32 channels at a time. These work great and I have several. I teach sound at a major University and advise students this is a good choice. After a colleagues drive failed due to the great Samsung fail of 2023, I found myself holding my breath every time I plugged my extreme pro ssd in hoping my project files were still in tact.(And yes, I have more than one backup drive so nothing would be gone forever but my working drives are crucial to me.)
