Offering numerous upgrades over its predecessor, the DJI Pocket 2 Gimbal adds a 1/1.7" 64MP CMOS sensor, up to 8x zoom, a 93° angle of view, and four directional stereo microphones with DJI Matrix Stereo audio zoom, utilizing its lightweight, ultra-compact 3-axis gimbal stabilizer and 4K camera combination. New software enhancements have also been added, including an updated ActiveTrack 3.0, built-in glamour effects, an AI editor, Hybrid AF 2.0, and motion-lapse. It's got everything you need for a high-resolution mobile production to create family videos, add footage to your photo shoots, or vlog your latest streaming creations with smooth motion video.

Weighing just over four ounces, this all-in-one unit features a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer for smooth movement and easy pan-and-tilt control. The Pocket 2 incorporates a 1/1.7" sensor and a wide 20mm, 93° angle-of-view lens to record up to cinematic 4K60 video at 100 Mb/s and 64MP still photos onto a microSD card up to 256GB in capacity. The four microphones allow you to capture enhanced stereo audio, and they feature noise reduction and a zoom function that follows the zoom of your camera to capture enhanced audio in a tighter shot. The camera can utilize 8x zoom for stills, 4x zoom for 1080p video and audio, 3x zoom for 2K video, and 2x zoom for 4K video.

Use DJI's Mimo app and your iOS or Android smartphone to polish your footage with preset shooting patterns, camera motions, filters, and soundtracks. The app isn't even required to add glamour effects and to do basic editing, and you can even set it to motion-lapse with a single touch. You can also live stream your video to the web using the app. Unlike a similarly sized smartphone, the candy bar-sized Pocket 2 offers intelligent functions like Story Mode, Active Track 3.0, hyper-lapse, panorama, and motion-lapse to create compelling creative effects. Choose between 180° and 3 x 3 panoramic shots to capture wide landscape vistas.

The Pocket 2 has a passive cooling system that quietly dissipates heat, and a rechargeable battery enables the camera to record up to 140 minutes. Included in the box are a cover, a mini control stick, a 1/4"-20 tripod mount, a wrist strap, a power cable, and USB Type-C and Lightning smartphone adapters. Additional accessories such as a wide-angle lens, "Do-it-All" handle, USB splitter, tripod, wireless microphone transmitter, charging case, phone clip, and waterproof case are available separately to round out your Pocket 2 experience.

This camera is so much fun. I work in IT and do video projects for my company on the side, so I decided to get one of these for a cheap alternative to a professional video setup. The video is great, the gimble is incredibly smooth, and it is packed full of features. There are tons of cool accessories to use and I am already looking forward to getting some more. My only complaint is that the accessory slots in the case do not hold the adapters very well. I have almost lost my USB-C and iPhone adapters multiple times because they fall out. I would highly recommend getting a larger soft case and storing the small components in there instead. 5

The DJI Osmo Pocket 2 Camera with the Creator Combo rocks! Once you get rolling with this one you will want to explore the Mimo app to control it on your smartphone or tablet, especially for motion-lapse and time-lapse scenes. It's really amazing that you can program up to 4 points in the scene for the camera to move while shooting in motion-lapse with a reasonable range of intervals. Having 3 motorized gimbals greatly enhances stability and as well as the ability to pan and tilt remotely. Smooth with a capital S. This is the best choice over simply adding a gimbal to your current smartphone or camcorder because this Osmo Pocket 2 was designed to optimize the package from lens to sensor to memory and it delivers. 5

The Pocket 2 is a very fun camera. Just what I was hoping for. The app you have to download for full functionality is a bit rough though. I’ve had connection issues with it and can’t access everything on it. So far the customer support from DJI is responsive and helpful. 5

I'm using the Pocket 2 Creator Combo to record dance rehearsals so the dancers can review the choreography. I used to use a GoPro 8 Black but got tired of lockups requiring battery removal and the wireless connection with my iPhone breaking and then not bring able to control the camera anymore. The final straw was GoPro removing critical functions like whitebalance and color mode control from the app. The Pocket 2 was a breeze to set up and it delivers a fantastic picture with far less noise than the GoPro did. The fact that I can pan the camera remotely and put a small wireless microphone on the choreographer while she gives instructions are a huge plus - with a COVID mask on and distance between her and the camera, her voice would otherwise barely be audible in the videos. The only downsides are that the Pocket 2 tops out at 60 fps even in 1080p mode, and that the included storage case is useless when having the Do It All Handle attached. I found the tinyRigs Travel Case, which solves the second issue and is a real bargain at about $20. 5

This little camera has replaced my iPhone as a go-to camera on a day-to-day basis. It is so small that I literally carry it in my pocket. And with the detail and stability in my video, I would pick this up any day instead of my iPhone. Besides this the different story modes makes it really make it easy to capture a moment in a unique way. 5
