Kodak VISION3 250D is a medium-speed, daylight-balanced movie film characterized by a fine grain structure, broad dynamic range, and the flexible nominal sensitivity of a 250-speed index. It has a wide exposure latitude with exceptional highlight control for working in a variety of lighting conditions and also maintains accurate notable color reproduction with vivid skin tones. Advanced Dye Layering Technology (DLT) is also used to reduce the appearance of grain in the shadows for cleaner detailing and clarity when working in low light. As part of the VISION3 series of movie films, this stock has high archival stability and is well suited to digital post-production processes.
This item is one 200' roll of 35mm color negative movie film for process in ECN-2 chemistry. It is perforated on both edges (BH-1866) and wound on a Type-U core for use in-camera, for making optical prints, or for bidirectional printing.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. How many ft for 400 rolls?
A: This is a 400 foot roll of movie film.
Q: 2. Is this film stock standard 16mm Is or super 16mm?
A: Super 16 is an image size, not a film size. This film is single perf, sprocket holes on one side. Super 16 widened the image by using the area used for the optical soundtrack. So this one film does both. Super 16 won't be full image in a 16mm projector, the side will be clipped off. Most Super 16 cameras are older modified 16mm cameras. The film gate has been widened...this is why it won't be full image in a projector. Super 16 isn't projected...it is used for a certain look and then duped on to 35mm, 70mm, or straight to digital. Sooo.....this film itself works in both cameras. If you want to see a film that is Super 16, check out the movie 'Carol', with Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara.... Oh, the Vision 250D is 250 ISO Daylight film....if you use it for interiors you'll need some filters. Nyms
Q: 3. Does B&H develop 16mm movie film?
A: No, they don't. They just sell film and chemicals in case that you want to develop your own film. Not an easy thing to do with motion picture. There are some labs that can process or develop film for you in the US. Video & FIlm Solutions is the one that I use, Cinelab, Spectra, Yale Film and Video and Fotokem are just a few. Most of them offer scanning as well. So you can have a digital file of your film and continue your post processing in the digital arena. Editing, color correction or grading and export it to the desired format. Good luck with your project. Film is just beautiful and worth using it.
Q: 4. Can i load this film under light? and what about the others (500T,50D,200T)!?
A: Absolutely not, in the dark only.
Q: 5. How heavy the product (can+film) is?
A: The can with film weighs approximately 5lbs.
Q: 6. So this is 250 ISO?
A: This film has an ISO/ASA of 250 when shooting in daylight conditions but an ISO/ASA of 64 when shooting in tungsten lighting conditions along with an 80A filter.
Q: 7. Help I'm a newbie. Does 250D mean that's the ASA or ISO? In the description it says 250 with Daylight and 64 with Tungsten??
A: Not exactly. Iso and Asa are equivalent- so 250 iso = 250 asa. Basically this is a slow speed film designed for daylight use and color balanced for daylight. It is not recomended for use with tungsten light- very bright light with blue daylight filters would be required.
Q: 8. I just bought a Krasnogorsk-3, will this film work for it or do I need double perforated?
A: That camera is listed as using both Single and Double sprocket film. So the Kodak Vision3 250D should be fine.
Q: 9. How many minutes can be held on a roll of 24 fps and 18 fps?
A: A 1,000 foot roll of 35mm film at 24fps and 2-perf will give a total time of 00:22:13. A 1,000 foot roll of 35mm film at 24fps and 3-perf will give a total time of 00:14:48. A 1,000 foot roll of 35mm film at 24fps will give a total time of 00:11:06. A 1,000 foot roll of 35mm film at 18fps and 2-perf will give a total time of 00:29:37. A 1,000 foot roll of 35mm film at 18fps and 3-perf will give a total time of 00:19:45. A 1,000 foot roll of 35mm film at 18fps will give a total time of 00:14:48. (hours:minutes:seconds)
Q: 10. Assuming I use a bulk loader, and a lab that has the ECN2 process, how many frames would I get from this?
A: The rule of thumb is 1 foot has 16 frames so 200 feet has 3,200 frames.
