Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do these filters cover the Canon 600EX-RT speedlite? In the specs, it says the dimension of each filter is 3 x 2.5 , but I don't know if that includes the part of the filter that goes under the band or not. Thanks!

A: Yes. The area that covers the face of the flash head is actually a tiny bit larger than the 600EX-RT head. This is great because it truly colors all the light blasting out, without any light leaks around the edges of the filter.

Q: 2. How many gel bands are included? The photos show 3, but the description spells it singular (and doesn't mention what size from the ones showed on the photos).

A: Three gel bands are included, two large blue ones and one gold small one.

Q: 3. Is this case strong enough for Air travel/ checked luggage?

A: The case is, but use your judgement on what you put inside of it.

Q: 4. Are these filters marked so you can see if it's a 1/4 CTO, etc?

A: Rogue Photographic Design Rogue Gels are each labeled with color, color correction value, and f/stop loss values.

Q: 5. Will the gel band fit a Nikon SB-400 which has a fairly small flash head?

A: Yes. The Rogue Photographic Design Rogue Gels Universal Lighting Filter Kit (Set of 20 Gels) will fit on the Nikon SB-400 Flash Head. You would use the smaller Gold Flexible Gel-Band for this flash.

Q: 6. Will this fit a Godox TT350?

A: Starting in September 2020 each set of Rogue Flash Gels was packaged to include 3x Rogue Gel Bands to attach the gels to a flash, including 2x Blue (standard size flashes) and 1x Gold (small flashes). The Blue Rogue Gel Band is sized for standard size flashes, including the Canon 430EX, Canon 580EX, Godox V860, Nikon SB 500, Nikon SB910, etc. The Gold Rogue Gel Band is sized for small mirrorless camera flashes, including the Godox TT350, Nissin i400, Nissin i40, etc. The Rogue Flash Gels will be larger than necessary to cover the face of the Godox TT350 flash, but they can be easily trimmed or creased as desired. Best Regards,

Q: 7. What, if any, are the differences between this and the "BH #MAMBPLLW97W2 / MFR #MB PL-LW-97W-2" besides the overall length (5 inches)? Would like to know if there's anything else I should consider in choosing between the two...

A: The main difference is in the size of the two cases.

Q: 8. Will this bag fit the Manfrotto Alu Master stands B&H#MA1004BAC ?

A: Yes this is a good fit for the MA1004BAC stands.

Q: 9. Will these fit the Yongnuo YN560 flash?

A: Yes, they are compatible with the YN560.

Q: 10. What is different between this version 2 and the original?

A: Version 2 has better padding.

I highly recommend these. I hadn’t used gels before, and these are simple to use and produce a great effect. I will probably purchase another set for consistent color with a second flash.

I don't know how many times I have bought gels and then throw them the way thinking I would never ever use them. So now I have bought them again. This time I think I'll hang onto them. This is an excellent brand and high-quality.

Received this package a few days ago and was anxious to receive it. I have never used gels before. Read some of the basics about gels and set up my styrofoam head on the dining room table. While not five star stuff I was impressed with what I had done. Much more to learn and filters to try. I believe it will be a blast to try them all in various situations and combinations. Easy to attach.
