This technology provides wide-bandwidth and high-speed sound reproduction and, in combination with the high-current power supply, holds a large energy reserve to drive demanding speakers. Thermal compensation helps avoid memory distortion for clean amplification under nearly any circumstances.

The PM6007 features Hi-Res D/A conversion. It uses the AK4490 D/A converter, which provides up to 192 kHz / 24-bit resolution for enhanced fidelity with your Hi-Res audio files.

The power supply supports high-current, high-speed Shottky barrier diodes and high-current storage capacitors fed by a toroidal transformer that work together to provide wide dynamic range and low impedance drive capability.

Toroidal transformers have several advantages over EI core transformers, including a more efficient design that delivers more power compared to an EI transformer of the same size. Its shape delivers low electromagnetic radiation and mechanical vibration for enhanced sound quality.

HDAM-SA3 technology replaces standard ICs and consist of discrete surface mount components with short mirror-image L/R signal paths. These HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) do the same thing Op-amps, but are engineered to outperform them in terms of the slew rate and reduced noise for more dynamic, accurate, detailed sound. In the PM6007, the idling current stability of the HDAM-SA3 circuit is less influenced by power transistor temperatures to help maintain sound performance, even at high outputs.

One digital coaxial and two optical inputs are onboard to connect digital devices and play Hi-Res Audio (up to 192 kHz / 24-bit PCM). The digital section is shielded by an extra metal housing unit to help ensure that the digital stage has no effect on the analog signal. The two-mode digital filter (Filter 1 / Filter 2) allows for optimized reproduction of digital music via the DAC. Filter 1 is a slow roll-off preset that enhances deep stereo imaging, and Filter 2 is a sharp roll-off filter for more precise imaging.

The PM6007 has a subwoofer output with a fixed low-pass cutoff frequency at 150 Hz, so you can enjoy accurate bass with virtually no audible peaks or dips, regardless of your subwoofer's placement.

The PM6007 uses a FET (Field-Effect Transistor) in the input stage to help deliver high input impedance, eliminating the need for AC coupling capacitors, simplifying the signal path, and lowering distortion and noise to augment overall signal purity.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have an older Bose surround sound speaker system, 4 speakers, a tweeter, and a bass. Will this system work with this eq.?

A: The Yamaha A-S301 is a stereo amplifier for powering speakers and does not function as a standalone EQ.

Q: 2. Is the subwoofer output for use with powered or passive subs?

A: The subwoofer output is intended for a self-powered subwoofer.

Q: 3. Can you use a pair of 4 ohm speakers with this amp?

A: The Audiolab 6000A Stereo 100W Integrated Amplifier (Silver), B&H # AU6000AS, can be used with 4 ohm speakers. The amplifier will provide 75W per channel at 4 ohms.

Q: 4. total watts at 4ohms ? Model PM6007

A: Power Output 45 W per Channel @ 8 Ohms RMS 60 W per Channel @ 4 Ohms RMS 50 mW / 32 Ohms (Headphone)

Q: 5. None of the A-S#01 amplifiers has a Line Out - Front panel controls don't affect REC outputs. How to connect Bluetooth XMTR?

A: The Yamaha A-S301 Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black), BH # YAAS301BL will connect to external components via its RCA stereo (L/R) output ports on its rear panel.

Q: 6. Does the loudness control affect the headphone output as well as the speaker output?

A: Yes. The volume control knob is used to adjust the speaker output volume, and simultaneously adjusts the headphone output volume.

Q: 7. This amp, like the S501 and the S701, shows the tone controls at Bass (20 Hz) and Treble (20kHz), +/- 10 db. What does this mean? Most people can't hear anything at 20 or 20k hz anyway. Thanks

A: The +/- treble and bass controls on the Yamaha A-S301 receiver gives you control over the level of the bass and treble roll off so that you can increase the bass for enhanced bass response or decrease it if you feel the bass coming out of your particular speakers might be too strong and it would be the same for the treble.

Q: 8. Can you hook up a equalizer to the Yamaha. A-s301

A: An equalizer cannot be connected to th amplifier. Preamplifier in and out ports or Tape Monitor ports would be necessary.

Q: 9. How sensitive is the remote volume control at lower levels? My Denon PMA-600NE jumps too much from the lowest settings.

A: The loudness control will provide up to -30dB of attenuation of the Yamaha A-S301 Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black), BH # YAAS301BL. If the volume is too low, turn down the volume, set the LOUDNESS control to the FLAT position, and then adjust the VOLUME again. The volume control functions in measured steps, either from the remote control or the volume control knob on the body of the receiver.

Q: 10. Is POWER AMP IN the same as PRE OUT?

A: No. The Power Amp In is used when you connect an external preamp to the Marantz Model 40n so that you can use the Model 40n as a power amplifier.

I have 2 of them in a passive bi amp setup with Fluance's reference speakers and it sounds fantastic. These amps have everything I wanted. Real buttons to contol volume and tone, lots of inputs, analog and direct mode, bluetooth, DAC, and nice look. The remote is too big and lack bass and treble controls but other than that it is a great integrated amp and very capable of delevering good sound. Having 2 of them in bi amp is amazing, lots of power reserve. I recommend this amp 100%

Purchased the PM6007 as a replacement for my PM6005, which I gave to my son. The updates - DAC, phono stage and sub woofer input to name a few - make this an almost perfect amp for the money. It looks great with my Marantz CD player and synchs up perfectly. Paired with Elac speakers and Project turntable for a perfect little system.

I bought the PM6007 three years ago (and the CD6007 too) and it actually drives a pair of Triangle Borea BR08 floorstand loudspeakers, no problem at all with their minimum impedance of 3.3Ohm.
Very satisfied of its sonic performance, the bass is full and deep, the highs are detailed, the declared 45W are enough for my 34m^2 living room, website Audio.com.pl tested it and found 64W @ 8Ohm and 81W @ 4Ohm at 0.1% THD, so better than declared.
Using its optical input you can connect it to a smart TV and listen the TV audio via the external HiFi speakers, much better than a soundbar!
A pity it hasn't the Bluetooth input too but I use a cheap external BT receiver with Optical out so I can use its good AK4490 internal DAC.
Would be perfect if it would have the "Pre Out" + "Ampli In" RCA loopout so you can connect an external analog signal processor (e.g. an equalizer) or use the power amplifier stage to drive the main speakers in conjunction with an AVR receiver.
Conclusion: I would buy it again!

I've owned my Marantz Model 30 integrated amplifier for about 2 years now and my opinion is absolutely definitely positive. I used this amplifier, ten hours a day, every day for months on end and it barely gets warm. I run B&W 805 Matrix speakers with a B&W PV-1 sub, connected with the high level connectors, to the amplifier's speaker terminals, as recommended by B&W.
This amplifier is, in my opinion, sensational. It's sound is detailed, rich, beautifully expressive, conveying every nuance of the music in a convincing and natural way. Any stops in the music are wonderfully black, it has tone controls, which can be switched in, if I want extra hefty when listening to some of my 70s rock where the bass is recorded a bit too quietly. I've also run B&W 802 Matrix S2, with this amp and it drives them with ease. Twice, stupidly, I have accidentally connected the speaker + and - incorrectly but the amp, just quietly shut itself down with no damage. I really love this amp and could not imagine anything better and would not, ever take the risk of trying to improve on it. I wish I could get people on the Hi-Fi forum I'm on, (What Hi-Fi) to consider a Marantz Model 30 instead of their usual choices because I don't think there's anything out there that approaches this amp at this price. It sounds like an amp that costs at least twice it's price. Absolutely Sensational.

Very nice amp, especially for the price. I did not need any of the bells and government surveillance whistles (think ALEXA people) that the next model up had. GREAT DAC, and nice touch with the analog options.

This product worked as expected. Sound is awesome. I read online about issues with controlling volume with remote control and troubles pairing the amplifier with phones via Bluetooth. None of that turned out to be true. I used it with iPhone SE first generation and with Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV speakers ( Passive subwoofer and 2 cube speakers ). Sounded better than my previous Onkyo CR-325. Great product.

I have had this for about 3 years. Mainly used as main living room amp for cable and my Pro-Ject turntable. This thing is plenty powerful and has no issues with anything, even some really old JBLs. I usually use some dual 8 references and I never turn volume over 10oclock, and it’s a decent size room. Aside from being loud, the quality and clarity of the sound is great. The direct source option is awesome amd the 2 added filter for optical add some depth to the sound. This is just as good, if not better than integrated amps at nearly twice the price. Lives up to the marantz name. Very happy about this purchase and will continue to buy Marantz products.
