Q: 2. Is the knob on the side the same height as the clamp? Could the knob be adjusted while mounted flush to a table?

A: Hey! No joy. Just had a look at it, and it sits a fair way lower - about 5mm. But the rest is flat, so it'd work if the knob was off the edge of the table. Cheers-craig

A: No, it is not. You may screw the foot in to expose the spike in the center of the foot when using the monopod on uneven terrain, or you may unscrew it out to only use the rubber portion on flat, even surfaces, but the foot is not designed to be removed.

Q: 6. Does it have an additional screw to securely attach a ballhead/gimbal?

A: There's a 3/8ths screw on the top that will accept a ball or gimbal head.

Super-sturdy and it is light. Paired with a Wimberley MH-100 is likee a perfect combo and can still use as a trekking pole even though a bit heavy for the purpose I can see myself using it as such when carrying the camera and other equipment in my backpack (instead of an extra trekking pole). Made in China but lives up to the Benro quality. Not a disappointment. Some parts are plastic (like the adjusting wrench and the upper extension clip) but I hope they last - only time can tell on those.

This monopod does almost everything right. It is high enough to brace the camera when looking up at birds in trees. The top adjustment is quick enough to adjust the height in fast-timing situations. It has a 3/8 socket at the bottom for attaching different types of feet. It is light and pretty rigid. The twist locks have an O-ring seal to try to keep water and sand out, though this makes them more difficult to loosen and tighten. I wish they would change the name, though. If this one is super-duper, what will they call the next one? SupaFabulosa?

I am a bird photographer and my (now) old monopod extended to 61. This was fine until I added a Wimberley Mono-gimbal which holds the camera to the side of the monopod rather than on top. I looked for a taller replacement and found the MSD46C which works perfectly.

I am 5'10 and the monopod with the gimbal holds the viewfinder to my eye when all the twist-lock segments are extended. When a bird flies overhead, I can quickly release the flip-lock to raise the camera higher so I can track birds in flight while continuing to support the camera on the monopod. I haven't yet mastered the skill but I'm hopeful that the geometry of this monopod and its excellent design will allow me to switch quickly between perched and flying birds.

Purchased this to help carry the weight of my 150-600 lens and very pleased with my choice. It is strong enough to be very supportive yet compact enough to be easy to carry. Very pleased.

This carbon monopod is super sturdy. The quick release to extend the neck is super handy. I placed some hockey tape under the quick release to eliminate a somewhat loud snap when closing the release. Overall it is stronger than my Benro Travel Angel 9X CF Series carbon tripod leg. The V1 head from my Benro tripod is the perfect balanced match for the monopod with a quick unscrew to move the head between the monpod & tripod. It is the perfect companion for hiking & backpacking when you don't want to carry the extra weight of a tripod in your pack.
