Designed specifically for the Sony a7R camera, or a similar DSLR, the 16L, red 920 Hard Case from Nanuk is made from crush, dust, and waterproof NK-7 polypropylene resin to protect and store your camera, lens, and accessories when you travel across town or across an ocean for a shoot. Its gasketed lid is held fast with dual PowerClaw latches. As far as I can tell, the gimbal does not seem to override the camera's menu options or other features, so someone should still be able to do a timelapse by connecting the optional TC-80N3 to the camera's N3 port on the side. While some of our cameras have built-in time-lapse capabilities, the EOS-1D X Mark II does not. That said, I wouldn't recommend doing a time lapse on a gimbal, since gimbals are designed to allow for fluid motion, while time-lapses work best when the camera is locked down on a sturdy mount.
