The BG-N10 Battery Grip from Vello is designed specifically for Nikon D600 and D610 DSLR cameras and accepts one Nikon EN-EL15 battery. With one battery in the grip and one in the camera, your shooting time is effectively doubled. The BG-N10 can also hold and utilize six AA batteries. Two battery trays, one for the EN-EL15 and one for the six AAs, are included.

The design of a battery grip offers a comfortable and secure way in which to hold your DSLR, especially in the vertical position. The BG-N10 integrates an alternate shutter release button to facilitate shooting when held vertically. The shutter button offers a lock position to prevent accidental release. In addition, the BG-N10 has an alternate AE-L/AF-L button, multi selector and main and sub-command dials. A: This grip holds 1 battery. The BG-11 attaches to the bottom of the camera. The original camera battery is left in the camera. When the BG-11 is attached the user is getting the benefit of 2 batteries.

A: Yes, I have a studio for 11 years. I use it on my tripod in both horizontal and vertical positions for about 4 years. However I dont move it outside the studio nor does it get bounced around so I dont weaken it.

A: I think you should order thr Kirk PZ-152 which should fit with Battery Grip.

A: Just checked this out on my D600. You can use the camera with just a battery in the grip. All normal camera functions seemed to work the same as having a battery in the camera body. Hope this helps.
