The versatile black C5215-64 Acustica 500W Compact 2-Way Passive Speaker from RCF offers substantial power and efficiency for several professional applications. It can be used as a main unit in permanent installations, or as a supplementary fill in large speaker systems.

Constant Matching Design technology helps guarantee an optimal transition between the high frequency horn polar pattern and the low frequency woofer directivity. The horn can be rotated, allowing to install the loudspeaker either vertically or horizontally. The hi-frequency transducer is a 1.4” RCF PRECISION compression driver with a 2.5” voice coil. The low-frequency transducer is a 15” RCF PRECISION woofer with a 3” voice coil.

The speaker includes a high-level crossover network that features markedly low induction values in series with the woofer. This is named LICC (Low Impedance Compensated Crossover), which features delay reduction, reduced phase shift, and transient response.

Dynamic high-frequency driver protection is accomplished with AMCDP (Active Mosfet Compression Driver Protection System), chosen to complement the driver power curve. The internal crossover can be easily bypassed for bi-amplification.

The cabinet is made of Baltic birch (heavy duty painted) and allows different installation options, as it is equipped with top and bottom multiplates for either wall or suspended mounting with chains. Installation points are available on its rear panel as well. The steel front grille is protected with a double layer polyurethane fabric and the front RCF logo is easily rotatable. The connections are made through 2 Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors (audio input and parallel link output).

A: If your amplifier is a stereo amp (two channels), at 600 watts per channel at 8 ohms, then it will be appropriate for two of these speakers. Imagine over 100 snow mobile drivers reving their engines all at once at the start line and an announcer calling the racers to line up. You need loud and louder and louder. The RCF is a good one for loud events. 5

These speakers were a great replacement to the FBT speakers that we used to have. They are the same price, but have much better sound quality. The audio quality and bass were better than we have heard out of any other speakers in their price range. We have purchased two additional of this line because we were so happy with them. 5

Super duper, great choice, could not recommend them more highly. Rich sound with lots of power, and, absurdly straight forward settings. Be aware these are big boys, they are not lightweight for moving around. 5

First of all, I commend the staff from beginning to the end. The original phone order went through great. The item was in stock and shipped quickly. Took a little longer buy I was ok. Minor damage to the speaker grilles upon receiving them. I sent an email to B&H. Very cordial and helpful to correct my problem. THEY worked it out with the manufacturer for me to receive 2 new replacement grilles. They arrived quickly within a week along with a return label for the damaged ones.
