Store, protect, and transport your Sony PXW-FX6 camera and its accessories with this Backpack Camera Case from Porta Brace. This lightweight, durable 1000D Cordura nylon backpack features a semirigid frame and provides water resistance and numerous pockets and storage for your FX6 and accessories.

For protecting and organizing gear, the pack includes padded, touch-fastening interior dividers, a camera cinch tie-down, a laptop pocket, and soft padding around the interior. The exterior has more zippered pockets and straps for batteries and other larger peripherals. There is also a useful side pocket for holding the base of a small tripod, light stand, or other gear. An adjustable strap above this pocket secures the midsection of the tripod.

A small pocket on the exterior has a clear window for your ID or business card. The backpack can be carried with the top handle or the padded shoulder straps with a chest connector. The adjustable waist belt provides added comfort, lumbar support, and stability on longer treks. A padded back panel features mesh lining that improves cooling airflow and helps cushion the wearer's back.

Also included with the backpack are a camcorder cinch, a white balance card, multiple adjustable dividers, a stuff sack, a stuffer pillow, and a padded 4" lens cup.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I saw this bag on the Porta Brace site, but there are no internal pictures. How does the FS7 fit inside? Can the handle, extension arm, and EVF still be attached. We bought Manfrotto backpacks for our FS7 and the bags aren't deep enough. The camera doesn't fit.

A: I was unable to come up with images as well. However, this is what PortaBrace has to say about the RIG-FS7BKX: (It is) designed to protect and transport a fully assembled FS7 rig in Shoot Ready position. They go on to say, Interior dividers allow you to customize the central compartment to suit your gear needs. Interior: 25 x 16.5 x 10.5 / 63.50 x 41.91 x 26.67 cm.Additional information: http://bit.ly/1c86aYJ

Q: 2. could I use this as a carry on bag for a flight?

A: Airline carry on dimensions vary but American, Delta and United all share the same maximum size for your carry-on bag: 22 x 14 x 9 inches / 23 x 36 x 56 centimeters (including handles and wheels). We do not have the exterior dimensions of this bag but they are moot since the interior dimensions are too big to begin with: 25.0 x 16.5 x 10.5 / 63.5 x 41.9 x 26.7 cm. Here is one possibility, the Tenba Roadie HDSLR/Video Backpack (20 ) B&H # TE20HDSLRVBB. It is 13-14 x 20 x 9 (33-36 x 51 x 23 cm). This should be able to carry your main camera and it's lens. for instance, the Sony FS7 and lens should fit fine.

Q: 3. So can you keep the side handle mounted on the FX6 with this bag?

A: Yes, you can keep the side handle mounted on the FX6 with this bag.

Q: 4. What is the diameter of those two lens cut-outs? Can one of those fit a 24-70 GM II? Thanks.

A: The lens holders are designed to accommodate Sony GM lenses, so though we do not know the size of the cut outs, they should be able to hold a 24-70 GM II lens.

Q: 5. does the case come with the inside lining?

A: This case includes custom cut foam for the Sony FX6

Q: 6. Where are these made? USA?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is Italy. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 7. Can it be stored with tilta cage without baseplate?

A: The HPRC 2550W Wheeled Hard Case for Sony FX6 Camera is designed to fit the camera without a cage. However if your cage is form fitting it should accept the camera with the cage on.

Q: 8. Can it be carried on for airline travel?

A: There is no world-wide airline standard for width x height x depth of a carry-on bag. That being said, 22 x 14 x 9 inches is a very common one. There is a common number for the total of all three measurements and that is 45 . Unfortunately, this bag's combined dimensions total 51.5 and thus might not be allowed in the cabin. You would have to check it.. As always, check with your airline before you depart.

Q: 9. can this case be used to carry a laptop?

A: If you are looking to carry a full size laptop i.e., 15 or 17 inch then no. You can check on line for a case that is more in the shape of an attach case which would be bigger in length and width but somewhat thinner. I know for sure that Pelican makes this kind of case, this particular case is good for me in that it carries instruments I use in my work, but it is not really meant for normal size laptops

Q: 10. The dimensions indicate this could be accepted as a carry-on for flights. Has anyone had experience doing this?

A: The HPRC 2550W Wheeled Hard Case for Sony FX6 Camera does have dimensions close to carry on luggage sizes and is ATA 300 approved for airline travel. It is recommended to check with your airline for approved carry on luggage sizes before travel.
