Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the switcher come with the Livestream Studio software pre-installed? Or do you need to purchase a separate Studio USB to activate it?

A: The software is pre-installed. The machine runs Windows and the icon for the program is easily visible once you boot it up. The only issue is with fan noise, which could be a bit much if your talent is right near the device.

Q: 2. I had planned on purchasing the HD51, however I am now thinking this new product is the way to go. Anyone have any thoughts about the major considerations/differences?

A: The HD51 has 5 Inputs that can be either HDMI or SDI. With the Studio One there are 3 different models. One that is 4 SDI only, one that is 4 HDMI only and finally the 4K model which is 2 HDMI inputs only. That is the major consideration with the Studio One vs HD51 units, if you need the additional flexibility to go between HDMI and SDI connections.

Q: 3. We have an HD550. We would like Tally and comms for 5 cameras. What products do we require for full setup?

A: You will need the Digital Arts metaSETZ TLC-4LS Tally Controller for Livestream Studio B&H # DITLC4LS, (which has 6 tally outputs), 5 of the Digital Arts TL-2-C Tally Light for Tally Controllers B&H # DITL2C lights and if you want to use the intercom pass thru feature, 5 TL-IC cables. (1/8 stereo mini to 3-pin XLR).

Q: 4. Can I upload previously recorded media to this box to play during a stream?

A: Yes, you can use this to stream pre-recorded media.

Q: 5. Can this unit broadcast both HDMI and SDI at the same time? Also, can two display monitors be used to monitor in addition to the program out(s)?

A: Both outputs are live and may be used simultaneously.

Q: 6. Why are they asking if theis keyboard works with premier and other nles?

A: The Livestream Studio Keyboard is designed to match the default settings available on Livestream's Studio products.

Q: 7. This product can only be use with livestream software?

A: This is meant for use with just Livestream products.

Q: 8. Will this work with Livestream Studio 6 running on a mac?

A: This will work with any version of Livestream Studio higher than version 1.3

Q: 9. Can you connect a replay system to this product like 3Play?

A: The 3Play solutions from NewTek are designed to work with their Tricaster systems. Another similar solution that does include instant replay would be Vmix. A similar model would be BH #SWBSTURX12G.

Q: 10. What is the maximum length of network cables you can use between the controller and tally lights?

A: No maximum length of network cables is explicitly defined on the Digital Arts metaSETZ TLC-8LS Tally Controller for Livestream Studio.

I use this gadget to hold a telescope mount onto a Manfrotto 058B. The instructions are all pictorial. One thing that isn't clear from the instructions is that even when you hear the click, which means that it is attached, you still have to rotate the mechanism clockwise to hold it snug and so that it doesn't rotate. Once this is realized then it is easy to just attach and detach. I love it. Works very well and is built very solid.

As I was searching for a new way to mount my GoPro and iPhone on my recumbent bike the Manfrotto MOVE Quick Release system worked out far beyond my expectations.

It allows me to get endless and quick positioning while on the fly videos and perfect still shots.

Was looking for a better price on an item for my telescope and it worked out great for more than half off price wise and it fits like a glove on my Big Gitzo tripod

I've put this on all of my tripods. We run a real estate photography company and use geared heads along with matterport cameras. For side projects I also have fluid heads and sliders. I've put the move system directly on to every set of legs, and I have the quick release plate on every tripod head, the heavy matterport camera, the sliders, etc. now instead of having to bother with tools or hope we can tighten and loosen by hand reliably enough, we can just pop whatever piece of equipment on and off, and they are quickly interchangeable onto any other tripod. It's great! The move system also feels quite heavy duty, I have no doubt that it will last like most manfrotto products for many years of daily abuse. My intuition tells me that it will probably outlast the tripod and the heads themselves since it's all solid aluminum.

Super impressed with the quick release catcher system. Saves me so much time and it works with everything...From gimbals, to tripods, to sliders. Just pop it in and that's it!!
