Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this one fit with the Canon 1Dx mark ii ?

A: Yes, the OP/TECH USA 18" Rainsleeve (Set of 2), B&H # OPRS18, would be compatible for use with the Canon EOS 1D X Mark II DSLR camera.

Q: 2. Will this fit on a Nikon D3400 with a Tamron 150 - 600mm lens?

A: It should

Q: 3. Does it actually cut the recycle time to 0.5 s when operating an on-camera flash on full power?

A: Yes and no. The flash recycle time is so fast, it's hard to truly time the action with just ones seances. 0.5 of a second is quick, so with measuring equipment one could get an exact refresh rate. So yes, the flash recycle time certainly feels incredibly fast, very very very fast. Is it exactly 0.5s faster. Probably.

Q: 4. Can I upload previously recorded media to this box to play during a stream?

A: Yes, you can use this to stream pre-recorded media.

Q: 5. Would this fit for a Fuji Xt20 or Fuji X100f?

A: I bought them to protect my Nikon Coolpix 900 from dust when I went to South Africa on safari. Truthfully, I'm an amateur photographer and ended up using a shower cap instead. The rainsleeves fit fine and I'm sure I'll use them at some point.

Q: 6. Is this keyboard wireless or wired? How far away can it be from the Livestream system?

A: It is wired, and the cable on it is about 2 1/2-3 feet. We had to use a USB extension cable on ours for our set up. Our HD550 with higher placed USB ports is on a raised desk platform, and the keyboard is on the desk. So the keyboard cable was just out of reach.

Q: 7. Would this work with the livestream free version ?

A: Yes, the keyboard commands are the same for the free and paid versions.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the Bolt PP-500DR power pack?

A: You can use this with a PP-500DR.

Q: 9. Can you connect a replay system to this product like 3Play?

A: The 3Play solutions from NewTek are designed to work with their Tricaster systems. Another similar solution that does include instant replay would be Vmix. A similar model would be BH #SWBSTURX12G.

Q: 10. How does this compare with the Surface Go control surface?

A: We bought both, the Surface Core and this keyboard (not the Surface Go, sorry). The Go seems to be a simple version of the Core. It seem's this keyboard is a must to use the software, because all the shortcuts are labeled and color coded. A normal keyboard WILL work, but if you have multiple users, rotating new users (church) it lengthens the learning curve. This keyboard makes quick work for occasional users, lets you focus on production instead of remembering which key is for what, or creating a cheat sheet... You can operate the system WITHOUT the Surface, using only the keyboard and software, but, navigating the software with only a mouse is not quite as easy as using the Surface. The Surface allows for quick easy camera selections, smooth transitions and MUCH easier to sit someone new in the chair and train them. I would HIGHLY recommend both pieces if you can get them. Hope this helps :)

I have been using Tiffen Lens Cleaning Paper for many years. I trust it completely to do an excellent cleaning job without damaging any of my high end coated lens: Camera or binocular.

I needed a rain cover for an event I was shooting. Looking over the various choices they seemed to be either expensive ($50+) or cheap. Since I wasn't even sure I'd need it, I bought the two pack and hoped for the best. I expected a thin plastic bag. When I opened it up, I was impressed. The plastic is pretty strong. They won't last forever, but they don't tear easily either. It has a draw string to secure it around your lens, and it has a small, pre-made hole you use for the viewfinder. It even accomodates a flash. As it turned out, it POURED That day. This sleeve worked great. It was so wet folks were asking me Is you camera waterproof? It's not, but it stayed nice and dry inside the sleeve. Obviously it's not a dive box, but for rain it works great!

Don't be afraid to take your camera outside in the wet! That's where the pictures live, most of the time. will fit compactly in your bag or vest. Useful in inclement weather, and you can shoot with flash! Keeps salt spray, dust, water, and other nasties from your tender electronics. What's not to like?? Durability is a question, but the per-use cost should be reasonable. OpTech makes good stuff, so probably not a worry.

One of those items that you don't know you need until you need it! It will protect the camera and flash from rain, snow, dust, and whatever else may be splashing about. No more holding an umbrella with one hand, and the camera/flash in the other! Durability is a question to be answered, but Probably a very low per-use cost.

I purchased the Optech Rainsleeve for a shoot during Carnival in Ecuador. It's a tradition there to throw water and spray foam at passersby during the holiday--especially gringos flashing a D40x/18-200 VR/SB-600. The Optech rainsleeve was a cheap and easy way to keep the festivities in the lens and my machine out of the shop. There's a built-in hole to fit around the eyepiece and the open-end was sufficient for my hand(s). You have to dismount the lens, insert it into the sleeve separate from the body, and reassemble the unit once it's in. Not a big deal, but you have to plan ahead. The drawstrings around the lens keep the glass exposed, and limit your ability to fine-tune if manual focus is what you seek, but otherwise shooting, even at great distances, is uninhibited. For the record, the Optech Rainsleeve is NOT waterproof (nor does it claim to be). However, it's a great, cheap way, to keep basic-to-intense grime, grit, sand, and the occasional celebratory water balloon out of your shoot. A lack of holes for my strap left me wanting, but other than that, the ergonomics/fit was solid. Today, I write this having returned to the Northern Hemisphere with a clean camera thanks to Otech sleeves.

I'm getting ready to spend a week at the Outer Banks in NC and will be right on the beach... I plan on taking tons of pics and with the sand/wind/ocean sprays, this light-weight easy to see through cover, will be perfect...

This rainsleeve is pretty big and perfectly fit my canon 6D and flash, pretty good for taking picture out in the snow day. Love the idea, Thanks. Will buy it again if mine run out.
