Each increment roughly double the effect, which is to say a #1 will be twice as as strong as a 1/2. A 3 is much stronger than a 1/4.

A: No you can't without an adapter. Your lens takes a bayonet 67mm. You would first need to adapt your lens to a threaded filter. Unfortunately we do not carry that item.
