A: The KanexPro HDMI Full HD Extender over Cat6 (196') does not support PoE as a power option.

Q: 2. Will this splitter reset all outputs when a new devise is attached to the output?

A: I agree with Jan on this. It's not always consistent. I find that if the device is powered (like a gopro) it picks it right up. If it's a mini recorder, or a device that runs off of another units power (thunderbolt from a macbook) it might not pick it up.

Q: 3. Can I output the signal to 100 feet from a laptop to 2 tv's with this splitter?

A: Unfortunately, that is not possible.

Q: 4. Has anybody used this device to feed HDMI over 200ft Cat5/6 to Black Magic switcher input?

A: We have tried to run 4 tv's 2 at 50ft and 2 at 100 - 200ft strictly HDMI off of this thing and it usually has an issue where 1 TV will turn off or loose signal. 4 tv's under 50ft usually works fine. Don't know about a single run though. if your converting over to cat 5 it would fall more on the hdmi to cat 5 converter I believe. This does not input or output cat 5/6.

A: The maximum length for passive HDMI is 25 feet.

A: This will offer very little latency.

A: These transmitters/receivers are designed for 5V. It is best to stick within the power requirements of the product to avoid causing damage.

A: We've had issues with distance on this model and had to switch to a different brand. The Kanex Pro 1x4 distribution model works great in our facilities, but this 1x1 has not worked well in a couple of different use cases.
