The Allure Soft White Filter from NiSi diffuses and softens strong light entering the lens and produces a diffused glowing effect. This filter fits select FUJIFILM X100 series cameras, and it renders a soft, ethereal image with little loss of clarity or detail. Q: 5. with the wide conversion lens is the thread not the same thread that allows for the regular filters? because I have one on there now. just trying to understand why this product will not fit the wide lens conversion lens. thanks

A: The reason that it doesn't directly mount is because this filter system attaches directly to the lens like the conversion lenses due, with a reverse thread. So you'd need a double ended reverse thread adapter to make it work, since the conversion adapter has a regular direction threading on the end.

Q: 6. Does this work with WCL-X100 II Wide Conversion Lens without vignetting?

A: Unfortunately the front part of the WCL-X100 II Wide Conversion Lens has no threads that the NiSi filter could screw onto so they would not be compatible with one another.

A: No, NiSi Filter System for FUJIFILM X100/X100S/X100T/X100V Digital Camera (Professional Kit) does not have built in threads. You need to remove the adapter ring from your FUJIFILM X100V Digital Camera in order to use the Nisi filter holder.

A: Yes, the NiSi NC UV filter kit will fit on the new Fuji X100VI.

The Fuji X100V requires a filter in order to make the camera weather resistant. The NiSi filter does that while still allow you to keep the standard X100 lens cap. If you use a standard, the X100V lens cap can no longer be used. Filter also looks great on the camera and feels like an integral piece to the lens system. 5

I love my X100V, but like many other people I was annoyed that it was not fully weather resistant unless you bought a separate filter ring and hood, plus a filter on top of that. I ended up buying their $80 kit, and later a 3rd-party one I liked better for half the price, but I could have saved a lot of money by buying this in the first place (if I had known about it or if it had been available when I bought my camera). But really, Fuji should have included something like this with the camera. It fits perfectly, and although I haven't peeped the pixels there doesn't seem to be any optical degradation. A nice bonus is that the OEM lens cap fits perfectly on this, it's a nice smooth, snug fit. The only thing to watch out for is that when removing the lens cap it's possible to inadvertently loosen the filter, which just screws on. Also keep in mind that since the filter is integrated, you'll still need a separate filter ring (and optional hood) if you want to install something besides a UV filter (e.g. Black Pro Mist or ND). You cannot combine this with any other filter or hood. 5
