$351.00 $561.60

The Proaim Locking Swivel Pan/Tilt Wedge Plate supports cameras and rigs weighing up to 55.11 pounds and has seven locking tilt positions from 0 to 90°. The plate tilts forward and features two spring-loaded locking levers to secure your camera or rig in place. It also features 360° of pan, and a locking lever enables the setting and locking of the pan. A 360° indexed marking ring allows you to repeat pan positions precisely.

The wedge plate mounts onto your tripod via multiple threaded 1/4"-20 mounting holes on the bottom. A mounting slot helps you balance your camera on the plate, and it includes both a 1/4"-20 and a 3/8"-16 captive tie-down screw. Rubber pads on the camera mounting plate help prevent metal-to-metal contact, protecting your camera and the wedge plate from excessive wear. The camera mounting plate also features multiple 1/.4"-20 threaded mounting holes that allow you to mount rigs, hi-hats, and other camera supports onto the wedge plate. An integrated bubble level helps you set the level of the plate.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What parts list , supports, base plate, mounts, hardware is needed to mount at the end of the crane so a remote controlled gimbal either Zhiyun crane 3 S, or MOVI Pro can be attached ?

A: The Proaim 32' Flight Package with Jib/Crane, Tripod Stand & Dolly (B&H# PRPW5PBASE) when configured properly as a jib/crane would not fit most gimbals with the sort of camera one would typically use on them. A motorized head would likely be more what you're looking for as additional stabilization is usually not a concern once a camera is already on a crane.

Q: 2. Does this work with the Proaim Alphabet 21' Jib/Crane Arm?

A: Yes, The Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head with Joystick Control (12 VDC) would be compatible with the ProAim Alphabet Jib models.

Q: 3. Can this pan 360 degrees continuously or once it makes a full revolution does it need to rotate back. It appears the cables run through the center of the frame. Is there enough room in that opening to fit a small zoom control cable?

A: Yes. It can be mounted vertically or underslung. The Head will pan and tilt through 360°, and this enables the camera to point directly upwards or downwards when required.

Q: 4. Does it come with a pan and tilt head? If not, how does it mount to the crane, so I can find one that will work.

A: It does not come with a pan/tilt head. it mounts a motorized head via a cheese plate using 1/4 20 or 3/8 16 screws. here are a couple of options for you to consider Proaim Senior 2-Axis Pan/Tilt Head with 12V Joystick Control B&H # PRPTSR MFR # PT-SR Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head with Joystick Control (12 VDC) B&H # PRPTJR MFR # PT-JR

Q: 5. Can this head be mounted on a tripod?

A: Yes and there are several recommended models listed in the accessories portion of our product page.

Q: 6. Can I mount it on a ProAm USA Orion DVC210 DSLR Video Camera Jib Crane Tilt Stand? Do I need any adapter plate?

A: The Proaim PTJR can mount to many jibs but the weight support of the ProAim Orion is not sufficient for the PTJR to be supported. It would work with other jib models that have a higher weight capacity.

Q: 7. Can I mount this on an iFootage M1-III Mini Crane Jib Arm (BH #IFM1III MFR #M1 III)?

A: Yes you can.

Q: 8. Any idea how to control Zoom and Focus using this head?

A: As far as we are aware, the controls on the Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head are for the pan and tilt head exclusively, and do not interface with the camera or control it. I believe the easiest way to control your camera's zoom/focus while it is on a crane or jib would be a wireless follow focus system.

Q: 9. It says it has a 44lb payload capacity, is this at 90 Degree tilt also? I'm looking to use this as an overhead rig with a RED Cine Package on a dana dolly.

A: the max load capacity reflects it;s max load capacity even at close to the 90 degree angle maximum extension, As with all thing of this nature I'd recommend you test it personally before committing you camera package to it on a shoot

Q: 10. This is listed as a top seller but I see no reviews. Could you reach out to previous buyers and ask them to give feedback? Would love to know what actual users think.

A: This Q&A section does ask users to respond. Unfortunately, they have not for this item at this time. We will say that users are satisfied owing to the number we are selling. Look online for videos and to the PROAIM website for even more information.

I bought myself the Canon 70-200Llll 2.8 for Christmas and I took it out on a trial run and put it on my tripod only to discover it was too heavy for that head. I researched and decided on the 808RC4 and it works great. It’s sturdy and well built and I have no issues putting any lens and camera combo on it. Good shooting to all of you.

I use this head on my personal tripod, and it is so good, I ordered 2 for work. I have had it over 5 years, and still works just like new.

Title says it all! Using mine for huge Pano landscapes; mostly done in HDR. The action is smooth, stable and works as advertised. I might get another for my backup camera, but need to work this puppy for a few months first. Great value for the build quality.

I love this Manfrotto 3-way Pan/Tilt Head for my tripod. It is very easy for me to work. Its RC4 Quick Release snaps my camera--or heavy lens--in place quickly and easily and securely, and I have no worries that my camera or lens might fall. I wanted a tripod head that would give me confidence for my camera equipment, and I found it! This head is a little heavier than the one I previously had, but it's so much stabler that I really don't mind the bit of extra weight. I have no problem recommending this item to others--it's easy to operate, and a great addition to my gear!

I use this mainly for my wedding photo and business. I like that it has 3 way pan and tilt with independent knobs. Perfect for video coverage since it gives smooth pan and tilt.
