Q: 2. All of a sudden, my player won't react to the home button on my remote. The remote has new batteries, and will turn the pkayer on and off, and will change dvd and cd tracks. Any help would E appreciated. Maybe a way to re-program the unit and remote?

A: The Denon DN-500BDMKII Professional Blu-ray Disc and Media Player 1 RU has an "IR Lock" feature that may have incidentally been activated, which disables communication from the remote control to prevent changes to playback. There is an LED light on the front panel next to an "IR LOCK" indication to the right of the device's digital display that would confirm this has been engaged. To disengage IR Lock, press and hold Shift and then press Pause on the DN-500BD MKII’s front panel.

Q: 3. This unit features 10-key direct track access for finding songs fast. What exactly does this mean? Are they hot cues? Do they work between the different media formats or only on the one selected? I want to be able to trigger the next song immediately after I fade out the one I am on.

A: If you are playing a CD you can push any button number between 1 to 10 and it will play that track number. It is a quick way to get to a certain track number. It works nicely. You can also push 10+1 to get to #11 or 10+2 to get to 12. Hope this helps.

Q: 4. Can the Bluetooth passcode be user defined? How many characters (or numbers) can be used? I need to keep unauthorized users off.

A: The DN-300ZB does not support custom Bluetooth pin numbers

Q: 5. Does this unit play any region blu ray disc and/or any region DVD?

A: The Denon DN-500BDMKII will not play any region.
