I was looking for travel prime zoom lens that covers range 35-150mm to replace 24-70 and 70-200 mm lenses, this will do it to reduce weight.

It is very sharp, and color reproduction was accurate, I took some fall color pictures in Minneapolis area. I liked this lens, nice bokeh @35mm f2.0, it will be on my Z8 most of the time with my Nikon 14-30mm f4 lens. Those two lenses will be my go to travel lens for our Patagonia trip in Jan 24

I own the Sony A1. Lens works perfectly, and very happy with the results. But I haven't been out on a real photo trip yet, so my experience is limited, But love it so far.

OVERALL: An awesome one-lens set up for shooting in a crowd, wedding, etc. F/2 is awesome in low light and even better outside. I got beautiful bokeh that people go out of their way to tell me how they appreciate them.

NEGATIVE: It is heavy if you are walking around with it for even just an hour. Better have a good strap/hand strap solution for the setup.

CUSTOM FEATURE: I have only played with customization for a little bit but it seems that the programable ring can only be used for aperture if you are in manual mode. Bummer! I shoot primarily in A or S modes. I guess it's time to learn to do full manual for real.

A great lens with a wide range of versatility! I was able to take it to some fast paced events shortly after I received it as the range was perfect for what I needed and at 2-2.8 , this was a winner !

I debated investing in a 50mm prime (Sony GM) or this lens, and I'm glad I got the Tamron. With my 16-35 GM and this lens, I cover every focal range I need, short of wildlife photography. The build quality of this lens is top notch. Yes, it's a bit heavy, but considering it can take the place of 6 prims (35,50,85,100,135 and 150), it's amazing. Image quality is superb, autofocus is as fast as my 16-35 2.8GM and the range is everything you need for wedding and event photography.

I am a hobby photographer and was interested in getting better glass for multiple purposes (portrait, landscape, street, daily kid captures, etc.). Reviewing many articles and videos, I decided to take a chance with this lens and I am beyond happy I did. I initially purchased the 18-300 to get a full range from macro to telephoto, but indoor photography was not great at higher ISO. I also purchased the 150-500 for animal and astrophotography, but portability is not great. The 35-150 is portable enough to stay on my a7iv (for me, the weight is not an issue), and covers a range which minimizes the need for my other two lenses but the trio covers all aspects I need.

The Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 is my new standard lens which will not be removed from my kit anytime soon.

This is a sharp, fast and overall great walk-around lens I can use for landscapes, portraits, etc... given its range from 35mm-150mm.
When I first got this lens, I went out to take some shots to test it out and was pleased in spite of the poor weather conditions

I was skeptical of this lens but after using it at an air show, it did NOT disappoint! I had really wanted the new 24-70 GM II but after using it, I wasn't impressed. Having to give up a little on the wider end was ok for me as I'm chasing around a child most of the time. This checked all the boxes I needed but get ready for a workout. Carried it at the airshow and yeah, it's heavy but it's ok. I have a longer trip coming up and if I just had to take one lens, I would have noooooo issues taking this along just remember, it's a tank.

The image quality that comes out of this lens is amazing!

Great image quality, small package (comparing taking lenses having ~2.8 aperture and equivalent focal length coverage), up-to-date functionality and autofocus performance, great build quality.
I don't need to purchase any other lenses, maybe get a renter when I want to do milky way or wildlife. If it has IS and Tamron style removable tripod collar, it will be the greatest lens for 95% of photo-taking tasks.
