Kodak's Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film is a classic high-speed panchromatic film designed for a wide array of shooting conditions. Characterized by its fine grain quality, notable edge sharpness, and high resolving power, Tri-X 400 also exhibits a wide exposure latitude with consistent tonality. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° when developed in standard black and white chemistry, and responds well to push processing. As an all-around, highly versatile film, Tri-X 400 is a standard choice for photographing in difficult lighting conditions as well as when working with subjects requiring good depth of field or for faster shutter speeds.

This item is five rolls of 120-format roll film.

Q: 3. Will this work with a Konica T3 body ?

A: Yes, I am over 80 years of age and avid photographer all my life. My favorite user camera since switching from medium format. Konica T3's for 30 years with Tri-X and never found anything better. I develop in D-76 and alwys have.

Q: 8. can this film be used in a brownie camera?

A: I've used it on a Hawkeye. You need to take 120 film and re-spool it in the dark on a 620 spool. It's really not hard, just take your time and you will be able to do it and then use it. It's alot of fun.

Q: 9. Reviews of this product indicate that the actual ISO is 200, not 400? At what ISO should this ISO be shot?

A: You can shoot at 400, 200, or even 100. What it really all depends on is how you develop the film. Kodak rates this film at 400 which is perfectly fine with their standard development specs for 400 tri x. I shoot it at 100 and develop it in a 1:1 solution of D-76 and water at 72 degrees. I develop for 8 minutes (agitate 30 seconds in the first minute and 10 seconds in each minute following) I recommend this development because it provides quite good contrast and excellent densities (if exposed correctly at 100 ASA/ISO)

Q: 10. This roll is 24 or 36 exposures? Thank you!!

A: Kodak Professional Tri-X 400 Black and White Negative Film (120 Roll Film, 5-Pack) is for medium format cameras that take 120 format film. Depending on the format of the camera, each roll may contain 8,12, or a different number of exposures. If you are looking for 35mm film, click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/33koGZX

This grade of film is always the best. It has amazing quality and I am able to manipulate it to my liking if needed. Wish Kodak didn't have to go bankrupt!

The size of the film I use is inversely proportional to my age . . . but I stick to Tri-X (and TXP) for all of my black and white work. It is consistant and easily handled in the darkroom. After all these years, I still shoot it at EI 100, and inversion process it at about 70. Works fine, lasts long time.

I started photography a year ago using a Nikon D3100 snapping pictures here and there and I can tell you my photography was alful but, then I started picking up some books and started NYIP and my Digital photos are coming along then, my friend introduced me to medium format cameras (Hasselblad, Yashica, ect...). I was amazed at the clarity and sharpness of the medium format pictures. Needless to say I am hooked on 120 medium format. The film B&H has for sale is bar-none (I was also frefered to B&H by a friend). B&H will always be my outlet for my camera needs.

I have been shooting this on my Fuji 69. So grateful that the price is coming down. I used to use this all the time in high school. Back then it was the go to until TMax came around and then that’s all I shot until I picked up a digital camera. Now that I’m back, shooting film and shooting medium format I am blown away! The grain structure beats HP5’s hands down in my opinion. At least in 120 format. Amazing in DDX at 1:9.

I've used Tri-X 120 film for years, It's speed seems just right asa 400 for all types of outdoor settings. You can use just about any number of developers, just use their recomendations on times. This film is not as touchy as alot of very fine grain films for develoment. I have enlarged prints up to 11by14 with great results.
