Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this hold both 120 and 35mm film rolls at the same time?

A: The Kodak Steel 120/135mm Film Case (Red Lid/Yellow Body) can hold both 35mm and 120 film at the same time.

Q: 2. Will this work for canon prima super 135

A: Yes, your camera will use this 35mm film, and Portra 400 has a great look so think you will enjoy it.

Q: 3. How was this film stored, at what temperature?

A: All of our film is stored in a fridge at 39F.

Q: 4. Will this work with a pentax zoom 105-R?

A: The Pentax Zoom 105 R uses 35mm film, so you would need the Kodak Professional Portra 400 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures, 5-Pack), BH # KOP40036PP https://bhpho.to/2JOxjo4

Q: 5. Can we ferry it through the x-ray machine in the airport? Is any x-ray pack required?

A: Do not use x ray safety packs, or leave film in checked baggage or in your camera. All of these actions will cause security to be suspicious and raise the power in the x-ray machine to the point that it will fog and thus destroy your unprocessed film. (Processed film is unaffected.) If you have a small amount of film, have it in clear zip lock bags, in the manufacturer's containers and then ask for a hand inspection so that you avoid x-ray all together. If you have a large amount of film, it is strongly recommended that you call security ahead of time so that the process may proceed smoothly. FYI, unprocessed film can go through USA TSA hand carry machines unaffected 1-4 times. 5 or more times or higher ISO may fog.

Q: 6. What is the guide number of the flash?

A: Unfortunately, the guide number of the Kodak M38 is not provided by Kodak, and we have no way of accurately testing the flash's output.

Q: 7. Is the inner plastic holder removable?

A: Yes, the inner plastic holder is removable in the Kodak Steel 120/135mm Film Case (Red Lid/Yellow Body).

Q: 8. Is this description correct? I've never heard of 135mm film, maybe there's a typo?

A: Yes. 135 film is more popularly referred to as 35 mm film.

Q: 9. What is the difference between the Kodak m35 and m38?

A: As far as we are aware, the difference is that the M38 has a more powerful flash and has an easier-to-use film loading mechanism.

Q: 10. will this work with canon rebel film cameras?

A: Yes, this will work with that camera. Thw rebel takes 35mm film. Have fun! ;)

Recently purchased more lenses and needed to travel with a good amount of camera gear so I decided to take the plunge and purchase the highly acclaimed Pelican case. The bundle on B&H came with extra goodies like the TSA lock and desiccant gel at lower price than other retailers so I felt I got a good value purchase. The divider is customizable and offers enough padding to hold and protect all gear that goes into the case. The case itself has a extremely hard and durable shell so I felt safe checking in my luggage which I had to do on my first leg of the trip. The laptop lid organizer is good for people who need their laptop transported as well along with their camera gear. I expect to use this case for a long time as long as I have my camera gear.

The other film cases I found were plastic and had reviews of them cracking too easily; they were also not nice looking. I was pleased to find these of steel construction, and they are also very pleasing to look at and hold, which is a bonus! I feel these are a new item since there are no other reviews at the time of my writing this. I sense these will be very popular. You can also mix and match the colors since the lids come off fully. They are made to last a lifetime so the price is worth it. They don't seal closed though, so don't think they'll protect from lots of moister. I was simply looking for a way to keep rolls organized in my bag. They make a 10 roll option too.

Ended up buying four in different colors for the types of 35mm film I use regularly. Fits nicely in a pocket, has a nice finish and weight Film has to be removed from the plastic canister to fit, something to remember when taking film from cold storage on a humid day.

It is a bit heavy at 15 lbs. by itself and more with camera gear and laptop inside, but is very sturdy and durable. I love the roll case feature. Haven't had it long enough to try it out as a carry-on at an airport. Holds two cameras with lenses and assorted accessories.
