The Canon PL-Mount CN-E 30-105mm f/2.8 L SP/MOD Digital Cinema Zoom Lens provides impressive zoom magnification and wide-angle focal length range for the Super 35mm format. It is engineered to offer 4K optical performance for demanding high-end productions, meeting and exceeding industry standards.

Intended for the working professional, the lens has markings on angled surfaces and on both sides of the barrel, making it easy to read settings from behind, or from either side of the camera. Focus markings can even be switched from standard labeling to metric, depending on production needs. This lens is equipped with control rings designed to maintain the proper amount of resistance with consistent operating torque, and a covered flange-back adjustment mechanism to meet numerous of production application needs.

Designed to fulfill contemporary 4K production standards, this lens surpasses the performance requirements of any HD imaging system. It features advanced optical design with fluorite and large aspherical lens elements to achieve sharp, consistent images throughout the zoom range. It also incorporates geared inner focusing to minimize focus-induced changes in the angle of view, reducing focus breathing virtually to zero. The innovative glass construction counteracts barrel expansion and contraction to avoid temperature-induced marking discrepancies.

The Cinema Zoom lens offers impressive optical performance for demanding high-end productions. Light and small in size, the lens offers consistent a form factor and markings optimized for motion picture production. Sharing the same gear position, diameter and rotation angle, and front diameter-the lens’ compatibility with third-party accessories allows crews to easily change between any 2 lenses without making adjustments to the rig setup.

Pairs very well with C300MKII and makes use of all the autofocusing features offered on the camera.� Very nice bokeh for an F4 lens at focal lengths from 50 to 80.� I generally don't recommend zooms for interviews, but this one is great for interviews because you can set the continuous auto-focusing.

I have always enjoyed wide angle lenses. I like the perspective and taking them out for landscapes, city scapes, even interiors and capturing the whole area on full format. This lens does that very well. Highly recommend this, esp with the C500 mk 2. Enjoy it.

I create outdoor style content for various companies that are looking to have their products showcased in an outdoor setting. I have this lens paired with the Canon C70 and EF/RF adapter. Together, they are unstoppable. Canon has really done a great job by allowing the RF/EF adapter to work with these non RF lenses. This combo is put to work every day for 8-10 hours and rarely sees indoor work. It has been in rain, smoke, wind, sand, etc and never misses a beat. I have a slew of photo RF lenses from Canon but none of them hold a candle to the 18-80 for video work. This one lens has elevated my video content to look so good that it has separated me from the local competition. I get business inquiries almost daily asking for my services. Thank you Canon for making such a beautiful lens. I'm keeping this one indefinitely.

Whew! Extreme engineering. Use the 14mm and it leaves you breathless. There really is no comparison to this lens.

This lens beautiful and consistent in look and quality with the other CN-E primes. Excellent new addition to the CN-E lineup. You won't regret.

The 14mm seems to cut nice with the rest of the set and is very symmetrical and doesn't have an effects look like a cheaper wide angle would have. The look is perfect on a super 35mm sensor and is even wider on a full frame. The build is awesome like all the rest of the CN-E's. The color of the primes seem to be a little bit cooler on the reds than the cn-e zooms. Great buy and good investment if EF mount doesn't freak you out.
