The JOBO 1510 daylight developing tank holds one 1501 multi-format reel for 35mm film. It uses less chemistry volume than most other tanks, requiring only 4 oz of chemistry when using constant agitation rotation method by laying the tank on its side and rolling it back and forth or 8 oz of chemistry for intermittent agitation via full inversions.
This versatile, single-step "Developer&Fix" monobath solution is perfect for processing any black & white film in minutes, with no need for stop bath, fixer, or any other chemicals. 530mL of ready-to-use chemistry will develop 8+ rolls of film.
Durable plastic funnel with a built-in stainless steel mesh to filter out particulates from film developing chemicals.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. How many rolls of film can you develop with this kit?
A: The ILFORD Simplicity Starter Pack that is included with this kit allows you to process one roll of 120 or two rolls of 35mm film in a two-reel, 600mL developing tank
Q: 2. Will I need to double batch to develop a roll of Super 8?
A: How many batches of the Flic Film ECN-2 Processing Kit for 8 Rolls (0.5L) you will need will depend how long your super 8 film is. This chemistry though is for film that had the remjet layer removed. It won't work if your super 8 film still has the remjet layer on it.
Q: 3. What are the dimensions (footprint) of the CPP-3?
A: Dimensions of the Jobo CPP-3 Film and Print Processor Kit with Lift BH #JOCPPPRCSR are H 33.5 cm x W 96 cm x D 37 cm (H 13 in x W 38 in x D 15 in).
Q: 4. I see everyone using the changing bag and basically doing this blind. What I wonder is can you just do it in lets say a closet with a safety bulb, kind of like a make shift dark room?
A: If you have access to a light tight space, you may load your film there instead of using a changing bag. Unfortunately, loading your film to a tank must been done in complete darkness, changing bag or light-tight room otherwise.
Q: 5. How many frames of a 35 mm can fit on the reel? Some rolls are 24 frames and some rolls are 36
A: The reel included in the Paterson Film Processing Starter Kit will hold 36 frames or less in 135 format. The reel is adjustable and will also hold other formats such as 126, 127, 120 or 220.
Q: 6. With this kit does one need to also purchase/use an enlarger?
A: Yes, an enlarger is separate, click the link below to view your options; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?q=enlarger&sort=PRICE_LOW_TO_HIGH&filters=fct_category%3Aenlargers_546
Q: 7. I'm not quite understanding what is in the description, so one kit processes 8 rolls of film? Also, it's just one chemical? How?
A: You can use the CineStill Film JOBO MONO Film Processing Kit for all your rolls. However, the CineStill Film DF96 Monobath for Black & White Film (Liquid, 530mL) that is included in the kit can process only up to 8 rolls. Yes, the DF96 Monobath is only one chemical that will process black and white film.
Q: 8. Are processors such as the Ilford 2150 or Colenta still available? I was thinking about opening a small processing lab but I'd like something more robust than a Jobo.
A: At this time, this is the most elaborate film developing machine B&H sells.
Q: 9. This looks so perfect! I miss processing my own film and doing my own printing. It's been about 40 years (YIKES) since I've been in a darkroom but I've been yearning to get back to this. I'm going to hint to my kids that this would make an excellent gift.... Question: Is there a similar kit for color C-41 home development?
A: We have chemical kits for color C-41 processing but not with the hardware. This is some links for the chemical kits, https://bhpho.to/3CtVznp https://bhpho.to/3cqzueT https://bhpho.to/30A1r1g
Q: 10. Can this kit be used to process Arista B&w film or does it have to be ilford brand?
A: Yes, the Paterson Film Processing Starter Kit can be used with Arista B+W film and many others.
