A: You can take the upper pole out of the base - this will make it 19 , but it will be in 2 pieces (top pole with the platform & the base with the folded up legs) A word of caution - I have 2 of these, and on each one, when you take the pole out of the base there is a small plastic bushing type thing that falls out! If you loose this piece then there is no way to tighten the upper pole into the base anymore... so be careful! It took 2 weeks to finally track down the part from PYLE and convince them that this is a design flaw. -- I hope this helps.

I am a network administrator and have always had to fight my laptop in my network closets. This table is the perfect size to hold my laptop without taking up too much room in the often cramped spaces I have to work in. Added my own rubber bumpers to the top to help ensure the laptop does not slide off the platform. 5

I am not really using this for a laptop, I needed two to accomodate several studio needs around here and there and it is just perfect! Pyle-Pro is a great company, they never cease to amaze me! 5

For the money, this is a nice sturdy unit. We use it to hold a laptop in a mobile setting. Only improvement I would recommend is a lip on the edge of the table to keep items from sliding off. 5

I bought this product as a gift for my boyfriend (who is a musician) to put his laptop on during his gigs. I ordered it on Tuesday (Sept. 16th) and received it that Saturday (Sept. 20th). Previous reviews stated the surface was slick and the platform didn't lock into place. The one I received had a textured surface which does not feel slick at all. Also, while the platform does not lock into place, it is very sturdy and did not move at all while my boyfriend used it during his gig. It was a little difficult to put together, but nothing that should deter anyone from considering this item. I highly recommend it! 5

I bought this stand to use as a photography prop, to set products on to photograph. The top is a bit slick, so be very careful with a laptop on it. The table tilts in either direction to nearly 90 degrees each side. 5

I use it as a schtender.. for the amus or sitting. It's great and sturdy. Easily can hold a gemara. Angle can be adjusted without tools or knob. 5

I'm using this to set a teleprompter my dad built me out of a picture frame. I've got the camera on a tripod behind this. You can get the table about 38 inches off the ground...which is about waist level on someone who is 5'7''. That works for me since I'm filming seated. I hadn't thought about the fact that it wouldn't go high enough to film a tight shot while standing. oh well. The build is good for the money. You can tighten the table top so it stays at an angle or sits perpendicular to the ground. There is nothing else in this price range - and even if I had paid another $ dollars it wouldn't have been any better (I suspect). The table seems a bit slippery. I solved this by buying some stick on velcro to secure my teleprompter. 5
