Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can this be used with 70V line amplifier?

A: No. This selector can handle 100W per speaker channel that run on 8 ohms.

Q: 2. How do you hook this up to a sony 7.2 receiver?

A: The Pyle Pro PSS4 features speaker level inputs and outputs. it would be connected between a stereo speaker output of your receiver and up to 4 sets of speakers.

Q: 3. Can I hook this to a radio instead of an amplifier? I have several speakers ran throughout my house and my radio has the output but I do not have an amp - just wondering if i will need an amplifier?

A: I hooked this unit up to the B speaker output of an older model Kenwood receiver. Unfortunately, the volume output was extremely low and I had to return the item. You should try the radio first but don't be surprised if you need an additional amplifier.

Q: 4. Does this unit have to be connected to an active or passive monitor?

A: These are designed for use with passive monitors.

Q: 5. I have Audioengine HD4 bookshelf speakers that read "5 Ohms." If I have ONE pair running via the PSS4, do I have the Protect button on or off? If I have TWO pair running, do I have the Protect button on or off? Thank you!!

A: We do not recommend using the Audioengine HD4 Bluetooth Speaker System in conjunction with the Pyle Pro PSS4 4 High Power Speaker Selector, as the HD4 are active and the Pyle is meant to pass power and audio to passive speakers.

Q: 6. Does this unit actually increase the volume or is the volume max based upon the max watts input from the receiver?

A: The PSPVC6 does not increase volume; so maximum gain would be based on your amplifier's wattage.

Q: 7. can you play more than one speaker selector at a time?

A: With the Pyle PSS6 you can engage any combination of the speaker selectors, including all on.

Q: 8. Does this come with rack mount ears?

A: The Pyle Pro PSPVC6 6-Channel High Power Speaker Selector does not come with rack mount ears.

Q: 9. I have a 100W/per channel amp with minimum impedance of 4 Ohms/channel. Can I use this switch to safely connect up to 6 pairs of 8 Ohm speakers?

A: Technically yes. However, please note that the impedance of the output signal will change depending on what combination of speakers you select and that each speaker wattage output is 18 watts rms.

Q: 10. what type of wire connectors are on the back?

A: The connectors snap open to insert the wire then snap shut.

Very easy to install product and very useful. Extremely inexpensive in comparison with other brands. We've got Pandora from a laptop running to our Sony receiver and playing music to the patio & deck - two separate zones. It's awesome for parties as we can play the same music tracks in multiple zones. The product delivers what it promises...you won't be disappointed.

Worked exactly as advertised. Quality seemed good. I used it to seperate 12 ceiling mount outdoor speakers into three different zones. I didn't use the fourth zone. Price was really great and I saved a ton of money.
