Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it new new ? or used ?

A: This is a brand new camera. If it were used, it would say "used" and show a condition rating of 7-10.

Q: 2. Is it possible for the X100V to charge from a 5V / 18W power bank with power delivery via USB-C?

A: Yes it is compatible as shown here. http://digital-cameras.support.fujifilm.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20151/~/about-applicable-models-and-how-to-use-of-recommended-mobile-battery

Q: 3. what's in the box?

A: The following items are included in this kit: FUJIFILM X100V Digital Camera (Silver) FUJIFILM NP-W126S Li-Ion Battery Pack USB Type-A to USB Type-C Cable Lens Cap Hot Shoe Cover Shoulder Strap Metal Strap Clip Clip Attaching Tool Protective Cover Limited 1-Year Warranty SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Memory Card Limited 2-Year RescuePRO Deluxe Data Recovery Limited 30-Year Warranty in Germany and Canada Limited Lifetime Warranty Ruggard Lyra 60 Camera Pouch (Black) Shoulder Strap Limited 5-Year Warranty This can also be found to the right of the product overview.

Q: 4. Is this worth getting if I already have a Nikon Z6 and several lenses? Will it be a steep learning curve if I've never used a range finder- like camera before?

A: There isn't much of a learning curve, the viewfinder position may throw you off - but as someone who is firmly invested in a mirrorless system, I feel that the Fujifilm X100 Series is great when you want to carry lighter and simplify your shooting. I find it perfect for travel and street photography.

Q: 5. There is no longer a "view mode" button as there was on the x100F. Is it possible to set the x100v to "viewfinder only", so as not to wait for it to switch over to EVF when you hold it up to your eye?

A: For the most direct way to set this up see page 207 of the manual. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1542674-REG/fujifilm_x100v_digital_camera_black.html

Q: 6. So I have a MacBook Pro that's ten plus years old. I'm pretty low tech since I switched to film photography a while back and not cared. Anyways, it's running on MacOS 10.11.6. I just read on Fuji that the X100V is compatible with 10.12 and up. Does this means that the camera will not be recognizable at all to the computer, or files not supported? How about if it's just jpeg? Thanks!

A: JPEG images should open easily on your current Macbook, but as far as RAW files go, that is more software oriented.

Q: 7. What is the maximum sych speed with the mechanical shutter?

A: This camera uses a leaf shutter. Leaf shutters do not have sync speeds and you can use flash at any shutter speed. The flash it self and if off camera the radio system can have some affect on if you can hit the cameras shutter speed.

Q: 8. Is this worth upgrading from the X100T?

A: There are definitely some improvements that you would appreciate coming from a X100T. You have a better quality sensor with higher resolution and no Anti-Alias filter which in combination would give you sharper images. Snappier autofocus, a tilting screen, better ISO sensitivity, 4K video capable etc. If you wanted a better version of your current camera, then the X100V would be worth it. However if you are content with your X100T, then sticking with it isn't a bad option either. I would contact us via phone or chat if you wanted to discuss further on this subject.

Q: 9. What's in the box?

Q: 10. can i change lens?

A: No. lens is fixed.

As good as you can reasonably expect. The perfect number of dials. I don't miss the D-pad, SHARP lens that's even pretty good at f2. You can customize almost everything. I've had it only a short time and it's already my favorite camera EVER and I've been photographing since the late 90s.

I've had the camera for about two weeks now and keep finding more and more reasons to fall in love with it. I wanted a camera that could be my go to camera for traveling (with minimal gear) or to take out for street photography. The X100V nailed it on the head.

So, this is my fourth version in the x100 series. I started with the original, skipped the S, bought the T, bought the F when my T was stolen, and sold the F to try the Ricoh GR3. I’ve loved my time with the GR3, as it’s portability and color jpegs can’t be beat, but I just so much missed the x100.

The F was pretty darn good, but oh, my, this V is SO much more capable, especially in low light. I’ve gotten focus lock in a dark room with just a nightlight. I’m happy with casual shots all the way to the end of the ISO range. Everything about this version has improved. I don’t miss the D-pad, I love Classic Neg. I was actually never really satisfied with the jpegs from any of the previous versions, but something about the V (mostly Classic Neg) is perfect. I’m shooting all jpeg now (especially since iOS won’t yet process the RAW files.)

This is the perfect camera for me. Minimalist, but capable of near anything. Solid feel, amazing jpegs (finally), fast, accurate focusing, tactile dials, everything. It’s well worth the price.

After years of shooting Canons & all L glass, Fuji x system cameras, and the Ricoh GR, I think I’ve finally settled on the perfect all-arounder for me.

IT’S NOW MY ONLY CAMERA AND I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER! Great job Fujifilm!

Also, B&H is awesome. Great shipping & service. I only order here. You’re the best!

The only photography I have done prior to using this camera was through my iPhone. The Fuji x100v is simple to use but also has settings that give you the freedom of creativity if you dare to venture. I'm learning so much while geeking out and producing some beautiful photos. My professional photographer friends recommended this and I've gotta say I'm glad I went for it because it's worth every penny.

The X100V is improved in almost every way, especially in ergonomics. No more accidentally pressing the Q button. Touch screen/joystick activation is more intuitive than the D-Pad. The deeper grip is appreciated. I'm a recent convert from Olympus to Fuji and initially found Fuji ergonomics a bit fiddly and cumbersome. The latest cameras like the X-T4 and X100V have retained that tactile feel, but have simplified a lot of the functional strangeness that, for me, got in the way of taking the photo. For me, IBIS is the only thing that's lacking. As a PEN-F shooter, IBIS is a tremendous advantage. Otherwise, the X100V is a pleasure to shoot with.

No review of this camera, typed into this little box on the B&H website will do it justice. Just know that several decades of photography experience across countless cameras and manufacturers have left me now holding and using this device. It is truly remarkable. It will be the purchase you don't regret. A tool for total creativity!

Look, there's nothing about this camera that's going to surprise if you were already a fan of the X100s, but everything has been adjusted ever so slightly to make the experience of shooting that much better. Autofocus is greatly improved and much faster than the V - which was always my gripe - and the new materials give the camera just every so much more heft. The menu system remains complex but easy to learn, and the form factor continues to make this the best pocketable camera with a true viewfinder. Finally, between the hybrid viewfinder and the new, movable touchscreen, there's a tool for every shot you could want while shooting street photography. While the lens doesn't hold a candle to the glass on the Leica Q2, dollar for dollar you're getting a lot of camera for almost 20% of the total cost of a new Q2. Not. Bad. At. All.

I've had pretty much every Fujifilm X100 model released and have loved them all. The V extends the functionality - more film simulations and - best of all - tilting LCD.
