A: Probably not. The info section on the product description tells which flashes it supports. It doesnt fit my Youngnuo flash for Nikon but works perfectly with my SB900.

A: B&H technical support says this WILL work with the SB-800. As of December, 2017.

A: The Bolt CBP-UN Power Cord for Nikon Hot Shoe Flashes is not compatible with the Nikon SB-800. There is no cord adapter that works with the Bolt Universal Compact Battery Pack and the SB-800.

Q: 6. In the specs it says select Canon flashes. I assume this is compatible with the 600 ex, is it also compatible with the 480 and 580 Canon flashes?

A: It should work on any Canon and any Canon "like/copy" flash that has a external power pack port. Generally the small to medium sized flashes do not have the power port. It's the big boy's like the 580's, the 600 etc. and 3rd party copy of those big Canon flashes that have the 3 pin w/a groove notch power port, that will take external battery packs.

Q: 7. What are the recycle times when there are 4 Ni-MH batteries in the battery pack? When there are 8 batteries?The Product Highlights list at the top says, Fast Recycle Times Up to 1.24 Sec. The product description below says, Recycles as fast as 1.92 seconds (with 4x AA alkaline batteries in flash unit and 8x Ni-MH batteries in Compact Battery Pack).So is it 1.24 seconds or 1.92 seconds?

A: First the way battery packs work with a SB-900 and SB-910 you need the AA batteries in the flash and you need eight in the pack. It cannot be used any other way. The fastest the flash will recycle can be as fast as 1.92 seconds. The 1.24 is a web error.

A: Yes, the Bolt CBP-N2 Compact Battery Pack for Nikon SB-900 and SB-910 Flash comes with a cable.

Q: 9. Does the flash require batteries as well? Or just the 12 inside the pack?

A: Yes, the flash requires batteries to complete the circuit.

I use it to power my Canon 580EXII and it works just fine, the recycle time is very fast and it keeps the flash output consistent all the time, works exactly the same as the Canon brand but even better because the Bolt has battery life indicator. 5

the bolt battery pack works great, I am using it on a Di866 Nissin flash. Everything lined up. I would recommend it 5

Using 3 of these units with my 3 Canon 600EX-RT speelights. Really extend the number of cycles and the recycle time. I use these at events and weddings. No problems experienced with these units. 5

This power pack is very useful to keep from having the change batteries every 100 or so flashes. It's easy to put in a pocket and even though the cable sometimes tends to get in front of your lens, that's not a big issue. THe output is amazing, and the fact that it works on 2 separate sets of 4 AA batteries (with lights warning you of losing charge in either set) is great. We have noticed that Canon speedlights that are used as optical masters, don't recharge so fast when connected to the unit. We have no idea why this is, but it means we have to use PocketWizards to trigger our external speedlights when we connect our Bolt units. We think the problem lies with the speedlights and it doesn't affect our opinion of the Bolt, just felt we should mention it in case someone is planning on using it in that configuration. We have had some other similar packs die on us in the past (some after just a few uses), so we are anxious to see if this one will hold up. The belt loop on the pouch isn't that useful, better would be a velcro strap so it can be easily and quickly removed. 5
