The Saramonic SR-MM2 is a replacement metal mesh windscreen designed for the Saramonic DK5 Series waterproof lavalier microphones. It is designed to reduce wind noise and vocal plosives. It also offers protection from moisture and dirt while in use.

The SR-MM2 features a fitted rubber gasket to keep the windscreen secure during use. It can be paired with the Saramonic SR-MC5 replacement mic clip and the SR-FW5 replacement foam windscreen for an ideal lavalier backup kit.

If you are using the Shure MX412 and MX418 Gooseneck Microphones and working indoors or outdoors with low wind, you can use the Shure RK412WS Windscreens - Set of 4 (B&H # SHRK412WS) as standard foam windscreens instead of the Shure A412MWS Locking Metal Windscreen.

Q: 8. what should the top of the me2 lavalier look like?how does the windscreen stay on?

A: The top of my lavalier mic has a flat head to it. The windscreen fits on snuggly. I have never had a problem with the windscreen coming loose or falling off the lavalier mic.

A: No. Plugging a microphone into the input will disable the onboard mics. It is only a two track recorder.
