If the camera does not have a clean HDMI output then the capture device will include the screen overlay information (such as battery life, memory card space etc). check the manual to determine whether or not your camera has the ability to turn off the screen overlays.

A: I would add that, although I haven't experienced any latency, I have noticed that there is some line skipping occasionally during fast moving content. I've only seen this once or twice but for that reason I wouldn't recommend using it in a professional multi-cam situation.
