Phase Plant from Kilohearts is a modular-style plug-in software synthesizer that functions as host software for the company's Snapin series of plug-ins. The flexible system offers sound generators in four varieties including Analog, Sample, Wavetable, and Noise which can then be filtered and processed with built-in modules and Snapin plug-ins. The free version of Kilohearts Toolbox with six Snapins is included, and many more are available for purchase separately.

Phase Plant is compatible with most DAW software operating on the AU, AAX, and VST2 platforms and opens up an enormous vista of sound sculpting possibilities. The synth's flexible but intuitive routing system provides you with a variety of oscillator, sample player, filter, and effect modules in the generator pane, which you can then process in effect lanes using Snapin plug-ins. The modulation pane offers a vast array of modulation options, and almost all the parameters in Phase Plant and in the Snapins can be modulated. Macros can be created for external automation within your host DAW.

Q: 2. How close do you have to be to the mic? How much noise does the mic isolate without additional isolation (foam, etc.)?

A: This is a condenser mic so it is very sensitive unlike a dynamic mic. If we a talking about recording a vocalist in the studio about 6 inches is the norm. If you are dealing with a pro they will already have good mic technique and the louder they sing they will step further back from the mic. The same is true in the other direction. If they want to get a more intimate sound to their voice they will move closer to the mic and sing much softer. By moving closer they will take advantage of what is called the Proximity Effect. Proximity Effect is the closer you are to the mic the more bass response you will get. The mic will not isolate anything for you. The mic will pick up things you will not be able to hear like air conditioning rumble, the singers shoes if they move around while singing etc. The most cost effective way of dealing with this is with an acoustic shield. Like the sE Electronics RF-X Reflection Filter which will stop the reflections in the room and give you a much more intimate sound to the vocal and help keep some of the air born noise in the room out of the mic B&H # SESEERFX. Q: 3. Does this product come with a wire for it?

A: No, an XLR microphone cable is not included with the MXL 770.

Q: 4. If the delay is over 300 msec can the output of the left channel be looped back to the input of the right channel( or Vice versa) to give an increase of approximately twice as much delay for a monaural application?

A: If you do that it with the AV Toolbox AP-411 Lip Sync Corrector. It will very likely cause what are called multiple repeats. Which would be the signal feeding back on itself. The time between the repeats will be determined by the setting you use.

Q: 5. Is this track subjects only who are directly in front of the Halo Solo?

A: The Halo Explorer is a range finder that will keep the subject it is aiming at in focus. The subject will have to be in front of this unit to be in focus.

Q: 6. Does unit support ARC? My case is BD player and Cable TV HDMI inputs to AV receiver and AV receiver HDMI ARC output to Sony Bravia TV ARC input. I want to extract stereo audio from HDMI output of AV receiver without preventing ARC communication between AV receiver and Sony TV.

A: This de-embedder does not work with ARC.

Q: 7. Does Pelican 1450 will be big enough to fit the Halo Solo Complete bundle with couple extra Canon LP-E6 batteries and can i fit in this case a handheld micro remote controller? Or i will need a bigger case like Pelican 1520?Or even that case will not be enough to fit all stuff i mentioned above?

Q: 8. I see that the HDMI still puts audio at the Sametime as the secondary audio outputs. My question is, Does the HDMI still output in 5.1 Dolby while simultaneously putting signal to analog Left and Right? My need is to have 5.1 through hdmi while sending rca L and R to my analog zone 2.

A: Yes, the specifications for HDMI protocol include LPCM 2.0, 5.1, 7.1, Dolby 5.1, DTS 5.1, DD+ Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Q: 9. does it come with a stand for the mic so you don't have to hold it?

A: There is a shock mount included with the mic that will attach to any 5/8'' threaded mic stand. An actual mic stand is sold separately. Here's an option, BH #AUMS5230F.
