Building on the popularity of its predecessor, black-finished AD100Pro Pocket Flash from Godox is a compact speedlight with a removable lithium-ion battery that gives you up to 360 full-power flashes and thousands of lower power flashes.

The AD100pro has impressive core features such as 100Ws of power adjustable in nine steps from 1/256 to 1/1, recycling times from 0.01 to 1.5 seconds, and short flash durations. The AD100pro has manual, auto, and stroboscopic capability. Manual mode outputs the user's choice of power, modeling light, and first or second curtain sync. Multi-mode controls the stroboscopic rate up to 90 times (90 Hz). Optional wireless transmitters with 32-channel and five group systems control flash mode, first and second curtain sync, High-Speed Sync up to 1/8000 second, power level, and modeling lamp at distances up to 328 feet. Firmware updates are obtainable on the Godox website.

Purchased the two light kit to start learning portrait photography. The lights were simple to setup and use. Just set group and channel, and they started working with X2T trigger. Used it indoor and outdoor, no issues so far! One battery easily get through more than one hundred shots (at about 1/4 power). The modeling light is helpful but I wish it could be brighter. Also when modeling light is turned on, fan started running and created a bit noise. 5

Love how small yet powerful this strobe it. I can throw it in my camera back for easy OCF work. It's easy to use. The modeling light with various color temperatures is just as awesome as the strobe function itself. 5

There's little to fault about the Godox AD300pro. It's so compact, lightweight and easy to handle. It's intuitive to use. 300W variable power covers a huge range of photographic lighting needs. It is sturdy and reliable, has excellent recharge cycle times, even at max power. I am so impressed with this compact powerhouse I am saving up for a second unit. The one feature I would desire is an attachable handle, since this is lightweight enough to handhold. 5

There's no question, that for my needs, the 300Pro is close to perfect. I have Dynalite equipment for the studio. But for location work outside, I need a heavy inverter (25lb), the corded heads become a pain, etc. The heavier Godox units are fine, but I don't need their extra weight and bulk. So glad that the batteries are cross compatible with my 200Pro units. The AD-B2 is used when I need just a little bit more, but I haven't had to use it too much. 5
