The 72mm NanoPro Magnetic UV Protection Filter from Haida is a clear filter that provides general protection for a lens without altering the image quality. The filter features optical glass and is coated, making it resistant to water, oil, dust, fingerprints, and scratches, and it protects the lens from such elements and damage.
The filter magnetically attaches to the included magnetic adapter ring, allowing easy mounting and removal. First the adapter ring screws onto the front of lenses that have 72mm front filter threads, and the filter magnetically attaches to the adapter. The filter and adapter together weigh less than 1 oz.
The adapter can be left on the lens at all times, and it supports standard 72mm lens caps when the filter is removed.

Q: 1. I have a Canon 80D with 4 Canon lenses - all with 67mm filter threads: 18-135 IS USM, 10-18 IS STM, 100 L Macro, and 70-300 IS II USM. So I would just get the M10 Kit with the 67mm Adapter ring, right? But now I have added the Canon 85mm 1.4L IS USM lens that has 77mm threads. So which is the best way to go? Get the 67mm with a stepup adapter to 77mm? Or a 77mm kit with a step down adapter to 67mm? Or would both options be identical? Can the 67mm ring be stepped up to 77mm?
A: Since most of your lenses are 67mm, then get the kit with 67mm adapters and then just step up to 77mm or you can purchase the 77mm adapter ring separately, either way is fine.
Q: 2. How does the shock resistance on the Kase Wolverine filter and adapter model make it any better than Kase Skyeye model?
A: Both Kase Skyeye and Kase Wolverine filters are scratch resistant and offer a similar level of protection against scratches. If you are looking for shock resistance I recommend this Hoya HD3 filter. It is hardened and you can hit it with a wrench to an extent and it won't break. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1177599-REG/hoya_xhd3_82uv_82mm_hd3_uv_filter.html
Q: 3. Has anyone used this filter with an ultrawide lens? Is it thin enough to use on my 11-20mm?
A: You will not have any problems with vignetting when using this filter on the 11-20mm lens.
Q: 4. Will this work for any filter
A: No, Is not compatible with any filter. Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring (82mm) is designed for Magnetic non-threaded steel filter rings. Most brands use aluminum or brass on their filter rings which are non-magnetic materials.
Q: 5. Can a polarizing filter fit over the UV?
A: It should. Most filters have a female and male thread. So essentially you could stack many filters on top of one another. Obviously though there'd be some loss.
Q: 6. Does this adapter fit the Sony 14mm F1.8 GM lens?
A: This adapter is not compatible with the Sony 14mm f/1.8 GM.
Q: 7. Do these work with the Xume system? Those seem discontinued?
A: The Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring has not been tested specifically with the Xume filter system, so the results may vary when using them together.
Q: 8. What is the difference between the Black Magic, Black Mist and the White Mist Filters? I would be using them for Landscape Photo
A: None of these are intended for landscape photos. The black magic is for reducing blemishes and wrinkles while maintaining overall sharpness. The black mist helps to reduce the value of the highlights while slightly lowering the overall contrast, useful for smoothing out and softening facial wrinkles and other blemishes. While designed for use with movies, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. It adds a pastel, cinematic tone to still and video images. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, mist filters provide little loss of detail. across the image. The white mist is well-suited for portraiture applications. In addition to the softer appearance, this filter's white sheen also works to create a glowing quality to strong highlights for an ethereal and dreamy quality.
Q: 9. Can I use this with all canon cameras?
A: You can use this with all cameras on the planet, provided the lens accepts 55mm filters. the filter's diameter (55mm) must match that of the lens (filter diameter is mentioned in the front of the lens).
Q: 10. What's the difference between the Skyeye and Wolverine models?
A: The only difference is the new version, Kase Skyeye unlike the Wolverine does not have the extra shock resistance.
