The lightweight 13.2 oz DLX-M1 4-Section Monopod from Magnus extends by flipping the leg locks open and pulling it to a maximum height of 67.5". The durable, aluminum monopod can support camera gear weighing up to 6.6 lb, and cameras mount on the top via its 1/4"-20 threaded mount. With its rubber foot, the monopod won't slide on smooth surfaces, but it also has a retractable spike. Therefore, you can drive the spike into the ground to stabilize the monopod on soft or uneven terrain while holding the support by its neoprene grip and the strap around your wrist. The DLX-M1 closes to a compact 21.25", which enables you to practically take it anywhere.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the bottom part (rubber foot and spike) are removable? So, that I can screw it on a monopod base?

A: The foot of the Magnus DLX-M1 4-Section Monopod is not removable.

Q: 2. Can I attach to the Promaster SHP36P ball head?

A: The Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head has a 3/8"-20 socket and could be attached to most tripod legs. It includes an Arca-Type Quick Release Plate designed to be used on long lenses with a tripod foot. This head is not used at the same time as a ball head.

Q: 3. The base of my gimbal head is slightly loose just above where it mounts to my tripod, so that when I loosen the lower arm locking screw, the gimbal head rocks slightly. Can the "GH-M1" logo plate on top of the base mount be pried off so I can tighten the mount slightly or add a shim to snug up the arm and eliminate the slight wobble?

A: The manufacturer do not list this as a possible solution. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly. Magnus Tel: 212-594-2120 Website http://www.magnustripods.com Email info@gradusgroup.com

Q: 4. Where is this made?

A: According to our records, this item is made in China. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Q: 5. Can I mount my canon 90d on this with out a longer lens?

A: You can mount the Canon 90D on the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal without a long lens, however you will be limited to shooting in horizontal mode only. Longer lenses usually have a tripod collar that let you rotate the lens and camera to a vertical position.

Q: 6. Will a Wimberley AP-609 replacement foot fit - it's 1.6" wide (40.6mm)?

A: Yes, because this head takes arca-swiss plates.

Q: 7. Is this unit good to hold Nikon D850 + Tamron 150-600mm lens?

A: Yes, this can handle those. Together those are still below the load capacity of 30 lbs.

Q: 8. Will this directly attach to the Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Optical Telephoto Zoom Lens or do I need to buy the special ARCA Swiss Plate as well?

A: You would need an arca-type plate or replacement foot to mount the Sony FE 200-600mm GM on this gimbal head.

Q: 9. Will this gimbal work underslung? Trying to put together a ceiling mounted DSLR rig.

A: This can operate that way. The arm can rotate fully to allow for it to be underslung.

Q: 10. What forms of QR clamps work on the vertical part of the gimbal, for attaching a flash bracket? The vertical part is about 30mm wide where my QR clamps are about 35 mm wide.

A: You could use a gimbal flash mount like this one: https://bhpho.to/2WZxtyz
