A: When using this lens on a Canon R7 it will have a crop factor of 1.6x. This will make the equivalent focal length 160mm. This will have no effect on the minimum focus distance though, which will remain 10.2".

A: Focusing distance at 1.4x is 10.2" inches / 26 cm. This is measured from the Sensor Plane. Measuring from the end of the lens this would be 3.6" inches / 9 cm. Unfortunately as this lens has not been made available yet and it is not listed in the specs, we do not yet have information on focusing distance at 1x. Though it would definitely be a longer distance than at 1.4x.

A: The PortaBrace Padded Lens Cup for Pro Lenses (Large) will accommodate the ZEISS Batis 85mm f/1.8 Lens for Sony E with the ZEISS Lens Hood for Batis 85mm f/1.8 Lens. We recommend that you remove the hood so damage does not come to it while in the mounted position.

Q: 10. Would this work for a canon 16-35 f/4?

Just what I wanted the lens to see. 100mm is perfect size for Macro and stacking/bracketing. Will take some getting used to with bokeh adjustments and focus points. Very sharp. I shoot flowers and people - one lens fits all. Not that comfortable carrying, because it is a little lens heavy. But no worry, since I use a tripod. Tried a little bracketing yesterday. Lot of work. Terrific lens. The attached image was taken after I put the lens on. 5

From wide open to all the way stopped down (f/32), this lens is pin sharp. One of my biggest concerns was smaller apertures to maximize depth of field, as many macro lenses become incredibly soft as apertures get smaller. But even at the smallest setting, this lens is acceptably excellent quality! 5

I'm in love with macro photography so I was happy as can be when Canon announced an RF version of the 100mm macro lens. I've owned the other Canon 100mm macros (EF100mm f2.8 USM & EF100mm f2.8L IS USM) and this one lives up to it's pedigree. It is equally sharp and bright as the EF100 L IS with the bonus of 1.4X focus, updated IS, and RF mount. Combined with the R6 Body it is a joy to shoot with and gets great results. Regarding the new SA Control; since I mostly shoot macros, I want the sharpest images possible and will most likely never use it. I'm glad it has a lock so it doesn't accidently get moved off center. 5

I purchased this lens to replace my EF 100 F 2.8 is usm. I'm replacing all my EF lens with RF lens. I wasn't disappointed, it's as sharp as the EF version if not sharper and it's 1.4 vs 1-1 ratio magnification macro is very noticeable, very happy with my purchase, absolutely no regrets. Guys or Girls at B&H as always you came through again. 5

Initially I bought this for Macro work and was incredible please with how well this lens performed. After watching a few YouTube videos I learned of the use of this lens for portraits...and WOW!! It didn't disappoint! Highly recommended 5

I've had macro lenses before, but this has always been my goal.. and to get the RF mount to boot, can not complain. Solid build. Smooth. Top-notch image quality. I tried the RF 80mm F/2 as it had a 1:2 macro capability, and while image quality was ok, the focus speed was an issue for me. Not with this guy. It's expensive, but I expect to own this for many years to come!! 5

This lens is fantastic! Fast focusing, great image stabilization and sharp as sharp can get. Aside from the obvious use as macro lens, it's also a great product or still life lens, as well as a portrait lens. Really happy with this purchase! 5

Great lens. Used it once on some leaves and flowers. Focuses close but not too close10 inches so will be good for insects. Autofocus works well which is the one thing that doesn't work well in previous macro lenses. 5
