The External Battery Pack from Juicebox is a lithium-ion battery battery pack that can power a DSLR camera for up to eight hours of continuous operation. It also features a USB output port for charging mobile devices when power is not otherwise available.

This battery requires a dedicated dummy battery adapter to connect to a specific camera body. The included multi-voltage AC power supply may be used as a battery charger or as a constant AC power source to operate the connected camera.

A: Yes keep the batteries in the battery chamber of the flash. The flash needs it own batteries for operation.

A: Yes this should be able to charge the battery just fine.

A third party charger isn't able to take this battery from zero to usable, so make sure you jump-start it using the official Leica charger. 5

I started Leica M shooting with an M10. While my M10 was down, after a mishap, I bought a pre-owned M Type 246 Monochrom, which uses this larger BP-SCL2 battery. I then immediately bought spare BP-SCL2 batteries, but soon learned that one does not need to keep so many spare BP-SCL2 batteries handy, for a shoot. I can shoot my M Type 246 Monochrom, all day, for still images, and use amazingly little of the capacity of one BP-SCL2 battery. An M10 will completely use the capacity of its smaller battery, in comparatively little time. As I try to decide whether to "upgrade" to an M10 Monochrom, the capacity of the BP-SCL2 is a significant, truly practical factor that keeps my wallet in my pocket. (The quite good high-ISO performance of the M 246 is another significant factor.) 5

Works great. The official charger was the only one able to jump start the battery though, but after the initial little bit, I was able to confirm that it charged more than 1800mAh. 5
