The dark blue 10x42 H2O Porro Prism Binoculars are ideal for mid- to long-range glassing, especially on the water, where you need to be able to clearly see buoys and navigational markers. Bushnell built them using ecologically friendly glass that is manufactured without lead to be better for the environment.

They are outfitted with traditional Porro prisms that allow you to more easily discern relative distances between two chosen objects in your view and anti-reflection multicoatings that maximize light transmission to deliver bright, sharp, and clear high-contrast views with accurate color rendition and crisp resolution across a wide field of view. To withstand the harsh conditions associated with salt water environments, the chassis is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled to resist internal fogging and O-ring sealed to an IPX7 waterproof rating.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the diopter adjustment range?

A: Plus or minus 2.5

Q: 2. what is the difference between Bushnell Legacy WP and Bushnell H20Porro binoculars?

A: I asked the same when I was ordering the 8x42 binoculars to donate to the Environmental Education program a the Cloud Forest School in Monteverde Costa Rica. I ended up with the Legacy WP's . Although they seemed well made, they were too large, too heavy, and too hard to focus...not only to be used with K-11 students but also for me. B+H Photo was excellent about processing the return. I purchased the 8x25 compact H2O binocs instead.Just returned from delivering them to the Cloud Forest School where they are already being used with ease.

Q: 3. can one of the eyepieces be focused separately for eyesight compensation?

A: I have both the 8x25 & the 10x25 and they both have the individual eyepiece focus adjustment.

Q: 4. Description says tripod mountable with adapter. Is this thru?

A: Yes it is tripod mountable but you would need an adapter such as this: https://bhpho.to/2luGUXL

Q: 5. Is a strap included?

A: Yes, a strap is included when you purchase the Celestron UpClose G2 7x35 Porro Binoculars from B&H Photo Video.

Q: 6. What is the size?

A: So I contacted the Manufacturer on this inquiry. Unfortunately they do not have these dimensions available. My sincere apologies.

Q: 7. Will these work in the Southern Hemisphere ?

A: No and I forgot about that the _vertical_ component of the Earth's magnetic field tilts the disc/needle opposite ways in the North and South, so a weight is needed. With a normal compass you can sometimes tilt it to compensate, but with this you can't do that.I lost a huge chunk of cost savings getting it adjusted for Ausie...it cost me IIRC about $120+ at The Aust branch, with post.Nick

Q: 8. What is the difference between the Bushnell 138005 and the 138005C?

A: The difference is in packaging type only.Box or clam pack.Binoculars are identical.

Q: 9. What is the difference between this one and the B&H # BU10X25HRCC MFR # 130106C?

A: The difference is the packaging. The BU10X25HRCB is packaged in a Box, and the BU10X25HRCC is packaged in Adhesive Clam Shell Packaging. That is the only difference.

Q: 10. Why is this one less expensive than the 10 x 25 of the same series?

A: Unfortunately we do not have that information. My apologies. The models are both brand new, sometimes higher powered model's can be less expensive. This pricing has to do with the manufacturer.
