The Heil Sound FL-2 Flange Mount is designed to work with the Heil Sound PL2T Overhead Studio and Broadcast Boom Mount (B&H # HEPL2T) which can support up to 3.5 lbs. Based on this information, if you are using the PL2T or a similar boom arm that is capable of supporting the weight, it should work. Regardless, it is still a substantial amount of weight for a boom arm, so I would recommend being very careful when moving the arm with the mic and isolation mount attached and avoid placing it where it may be accidentally bumped.

Unfortunately, the ISO-Armor-2 has to sit on top of the shock mount, reducing the shock-absorbing effectiveness. The mic and ISO-Armor-2 are not able to float the way the shock mount is intended. The added weight of the ISO-Armor-2 would probably prevent this anyway. It's too bad I can't include a picture, because it'd be much easier to show. Just to be clear, the ISO-Armor-2 isn't a shock mount and doesn't provide any connection to a mic stand.
