Add rods to your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2 cameras when using the Tilta Half Cage with the extended bottom plate for the Blackmagic Design battery grip, with this tactical gray 15mm Rod Holder from Tilta. This rod holder enables you to use cinema-style accessories with your camera, battery grip, half cage setup (cage, extended bottom plate, and battery grip not included), which otherwise would not be possible, as the battery grip would raise the camera too far above the correct lens center-to-rod distance when using standard baseplate rod clamps.

This holder/clamp supports the 15mm LWS standard for rod supports, and it mounts on your cage via the extended bottom plate. The mounting screw attaches the rod holder to the cage, and the two locking pins on the holder interface with the divots on the cage to secure the holder to prevent shifting during use. The rod clamp locking lever is set underneath so that it's out of the way.

A: This EVF is designed to only work with the new Blackmagic Pocket 6 Pro. Currently it will not work with any other camera system.

Q: 2. Can the Internal Battery be removed and swapped out while this cage is attached to the BMPCC4K/6k? Thanks.

A: Yes, this cage offers clearance for the battery door on the camera.

Q: 3. Hello. Can it be mounted on cage without battery grip and extended bottom plate?

A: No, the Tilta 15mm Rod Holder for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro & 6K G2 is only designed to be used with the cage for the battery grip attached.

Q: 4. When attached, must you detach to access rear LCD screen menus settings?

Q: 5. Is this cage compatible with a Blackmagic battery grip?

A: The Tilta Full Camera Cage for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K will not support the Black Magic Battery Grip.

Q: 6. Has any modification been made to the cage besides making the logo plate smaller? I tried the 4K cage (with the upgrade kit logo plate) on the 6K and the upper part of the cage it fits very, very tight I'm afraid it can get scratched.

Q: 9. How many "dots" is this, and what is the magnification? Curious to know how it stacks up to different mirrorless stills cameras.

A: The Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF has 3.68 Million dots however the magnification is not listed at this time. For comparison here are EVF specs from popular mirrorless cameras. The A7S III has 9.4 million dots/0.9x magnification The Canon R5 has 5.76 million dots/0.76x magnification The Nikon Z II has 3.6m dots/0.8x magnification

Q: 10. Can anyone tell his/her experience with it? I'm considering purchasing it to do better manual focus but maybe is enough with the LCD due to the brightness and size of it. Thanks in advance!

A: The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF for 6K Pro is a different way of operating by allowing another point of contact while giving the ability to frame your shot and focus your image. The electronic viewfinder performs well and is a slightly different way of operating than just sticking to the rear high bright LCD.
