A: I highly doubt it would make any difference.This is an extremely high resolution fine grain semi gloss paper and is about the best there is.Canson don't state any specification on their website but do include images of all their surface finishes and they all look pretty random to me.Sheet media is always loaded in portrait with the long side facing adjacent to the motion of the print head.

Q: 5. I purchased 2 boxes of Canson's Platine Fibre Rag paper from B&H back in December. I now have a Canon imageprograf 300 printer. I've downloaded the icc profile from Canson's site. The accompanying pdf recommends that in PS, the media paper type should be set at "Matte Paper". However, the label on the box describes the paper as "Ultra Smooth Glossy".  Would anyone have a suggestion as to the correct media type for this paper?

Q: 6. Back before Christmas I purchased two boxes of Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag paper (8.5x11 and 13x19) from B&H. I now have a new Canon imageProGraf 300 printer. I've downloaded the ICC profile for this paper, but Canson does not indicate the "Media Type" setting that I should use in PS or LR. Could anyone advise me what media setting I should use?

A: You can probably use Luster or Exhibition Fiber which is also in the semi gloss family. Please note: being that the TM300 is only a 4 color printer not really for photos or fine art, you can't expect to get the exact color on prints anyway. You'll need a printer like the Pro 4100.

Q: 7. I need a double sided fine art paper for a promo I'm doing. Image on one side, text on the other. What are my options?

Q: 8. Is the finish completely smooth or is there a texture or stipple pattern? Canson's Infinity Baryta is almost completely smooth which makes the paper look like RC paper.

A: Slight texture and it very much has the look and feel of a traditional fiber paper ... definitely not like RC. To my eye the paper is slightly warm. It prints beautifully, both color and B&W, and has become my primary exhibition paper for my personal work.

Q: 9. Is this an inkjet paper?

A: Yes this is an inkjet paper but meant for higher end inkjet that handle fine art papers.

Q: 10. Does this paper have much of a "curl" to it? Some heavier papers are almost unusable when I get to the end of a roll in my Epson 4880.

A: All papers will have a slight curl that will straighten out over a short period of time. This paper should not have any issues.
