After destroying another light weight tripod which came with my LED lights, I decided that I needed a tripod which could stand up to my field usage. Although this tripod is a little heavy for some users, it is strong enough to stand up to the abuse that my usage recording political actualities results in. The unit is extremely stable and does not tip over easily even with a relatively heavy light on the top. I am continuous dealing with people who are bumping into my lights and other equipment. I intend to purchase another one of these units in the next six months. 5

I like the heavy-duty light stand by Impact enough that I bought an additional one a few days later. It's very lightweight yet feels sturdy. It also came with a spigot that can be mounted on the head vertically or horizontally. I've only used these indoors so far, but they hold my Forza 500 with a 48 inch softbox attached without any worry. Making any adjustments is a breeze as well. I find myself using these more often than my more expensive and sturdy C-stands. All in all, these are well worth the price. 5

I read in another review that this stand works as a tall overhead mic stand for recording choirs, etc., and got excited that it's less than 1/4 the price of the K&M 20811 which is the only one I seem to find which goes as high as I'd like. I haven't used it the field yet but it seems really solid and I'm so happy to have saved that $$. I bought an adaptor to change the thread to a mic-stand thread. Quite a satisfying feeling to have found a bargain like this, and still the product seems really solid. 5
