Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what profile to use with Canon Pixma Pro-100?

A: If you are using LightRoom, go to your Print function, select the printer button, select the print settings function, under the first choice there you may find a preset labeled metallic luster. that's the way it is on mine though it may be there because I have an epson printer and may not be the same on your screen

Q: 2. does this paper have optical whiteners/brighteners?

A: Hello,No. This paper is free of optical brightening agents. It is designed for artists and photographers using inkjet technology. It is a very very great paper, top quality. I have made over 100 Black and white photos with this one and the results are beautiful. I hope this answer will be helpul for you. Happy Holidays! Bernard, from Qubec, Canada

Q: 3. Do yo know if there is a two sided version of the HP Premium Plus Photo paper soft gloss for inkjet printers?

A: No the paper only comes single-sided.

Q: 4. Has anyone been able to compare prints on these papers with the glossy/satin versions?

A: For photos that are going to be moved around, matte will be better. Not only is it less sensitive when it comes to fingerprints, it's also more resistant to light and doesn't create any reflection. Images with dark tones will have much more contrast.

Q: 5. icc profile for p900?

A: The ICC printing profile for Epson Legacy Etching Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) (B&H# EPLETCH1319) will be installed when you install all of the Epson software for the P900.

Q: 6. How does this paper perform on the Canon Pro 100 printer will I need to install a new ICC profile to print the ilford paper on Canon printer

A: I have used the 13x19 of this paper with very good results with no icc. I could be wrong but I don't believe Epson has an icc for this paper for canon printers?

Q: 7. Is there a gloss (lustre) differential between the unprinted (white) areas and the printed areas? I like Museo Silver Rag because it does not exhibit this differential, but the paper is very expensive.

A: I don't remember any gloss difference; however I bought this paper for testing to replace Ilford smooth pearl after Ilford went bankrupt. My go to art paper is Canson platine. I use these mid priced luster papers for printing photo exhibits for my law practice and law firm. I assumed that the Canson paper would be OK and consistent from lot to lot. This Canson paper was better than epson luster but lacked the contrast/ pop and feel of the Ilford(310gsm instead of 270) that really seems to impress both Jurors and Judges.

Q: 8. Will this paper work in my Canon MP990 color printer. I have used HP Premium Photo Paper, Matte for many years and now have to find something else seeing as it is no longer available. I do a lot of photography and that paper was perfect.

A: This paper is compatible with your Canon printer.

Q: 9. Which ICC profile do you use for this paper and the R2000?

A: Premium Glossy Photo Paper profile from Epson

Q: 10. Does this paper have much of a "curl" to it? Some heavier papers are almost unusable when I get to the end of a roll in my Epson 4880.

A: All papers will have a slight curl that will straighten out over a short period of time. This paper should not have any issues.
