Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this have optical brighteners in it?

A: The Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II has a very low OBA content.

Q: 2. what is the mil thickness

A: The thickness of that paper is 10.27 mil.

Q: 3. By matte finish , does that mean it has a textured surface that in a manner of speaking helps 'eat light' from the surface?

A: Matte finish is in reference to the surface not being glossy. It is very good if you want a very black background.

Q: 4. What does used paper rolls mean? Is there paper missing or is it just open box?

A: The Canson Infinity PhotoSatin Premium RC 270 Archival Photo Inkjet Paper (24" x 100' Roll) is a new product, however we do currently have some that are used for sale as well. Our used products have been owned and used and then sold back to us, which we then sell again at a discounted price.

Q: 5. Is the Baryta any easier to de-curl and dry mount than the rolls of Canson Platine? It’s the same weight but 1mm thinner.

A: The 1mm thickness difference in the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II paper roll will give you marginal differences in curling.

Q: 6. After printing on this paper, do you use any kind of finisher or sealant to protect the print? If it matters, I'll be using an Epson surecolor printer and manufacturer pigments.

A: It is not necessary to use any finisher or sealant to ensure longevity of a print printed on the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II paper. If you plan on having this displayed uncovered for a long period of time, you may want to use something. But for most standard usage this is not necessary.

Q: 7. Does this paper have an ICC profile for Photoshop?

A: Printer profiles for the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II to be used in Photoshop can be found here: https://www.canson-infinity.com/en/icc-profiles?fp=2727

Q: 8. this paper work whit canon prograf pro2100 ?

A: No, the Everyday Adhesive Matte Polypropylene paper would not work with the Canon Pro2100.

Q: 9. will this work with canon tm 200 it is waterproof?

A: Yes it is compatible. But you will want to create a custom ICC profile for the paper/printer combination for better color accuracy.

Q: 10. Can this be used with the Epson Surecolor T3170 pigment inkjet printer?

A: Yes the HP Everyday Adhesive Matte Polypropylene (24" x 75' Roll) can be used in the Epson T3170. However, there are no ICC profiles to use an HP product in an Epson printer so the colors might be off slightly.

I just love the paper. Everything is just gorgeous about it. Every time I can see a b&w coming out of my printer I have that shivering on my back. I do exhibition/gallery style prints and it's been now my favorite fine art paper for that purpose. There is a nice feel to it and when you hold it up against the light you can see that gentle semi pearl almost invisible surface. It holds the color superbly and the ICC profiles for my Epson 3880 and HP Z3100 are just right. No need for adjustments. Would recommend not just to a friend but to everybody.

Phenomenal is the word for this paper. The prints are as beautiful as they can be. Nothing about this paper requires compromise.

From the many Fine Art Papers that I have tried in my Canon IPF8400, this is by far my favorite. It has a beautiful texture, color rendition and it is very simple to set your printer to the best settings thanks to the AM1 file that Canson provides in their website as part of the ICC profiles. I just upload the file to the printer and all settings are automatically set for me. See if your Fine Art company provides this file. If not, Canson makes sure that you have the best possible settings for their vast array of products! I love the semi-gloss finish! After my prints have dried for 24 hrs, I seal them with Hahnemuhle Protective Spray. Pure joy!

This is the best paper i've worked with. I was printing 16 x 20 and 8x10 on an epson 7800. It's got a little bit of a warm tone to it which may be a problem for some people. In my case, the warmth looked great with the images I was prinitng. This paper is thick but, as long as I made sure to keep it in a plastic bag whenever I wasn't printing with it, I had no problems with scratching. The key is to make sure the paper keeps its natural moisture, remains maleable. It's the stiffness that causes it to curl, scratch against the heads. Overall, great product for a great price.

I've used Canson Rag Photographique for a long time and really like it, but I try other papers sometimes for the sake of comparison. When I compared images on Infinity Platine to the same images on Rag Photographique, I was blown away by the detail one could see in the dark to black areas using Infinity Platine (I shoot B&W). Another important feature for me is that no optical brighteners are used in this paper. I expect to be using Infinity Platine much more and Rag Photographique much less in the future.
